The boxes may have been weighed. MJ Holding used to just add an additional pack to each box when they included a vintage pack, so the boxes with a vintage pack had 6 not 5. So the chase boxes were actually heavier. Nowadays they just replace the vintage pack with another pack so the boxes all weigh the same, so they can’t be weighed. People are scummy with things like this :/

I remember when these were at Walmart and I found one that felt heavier than the others. So I bought that one and when opening it I found a Fossil Unlimited pack inside (I opened that; the rare was a Dragonite non holo).

@ right I’m not saying the packs he owned were tampered with, but it’s possible the boxes were. But again, that’s just speculation. It’s just hard to buy something this old with it not being tampered with nowadays unless you know the seller is trusted.

The ONLY mystery pack I’ve ever had luck on was hilariously a PokeRev 5.0! I got a gold envelope and got a Japanese Jungle pack. I was totally shook. 😂 Unfortunately I don’t collect Japanese cards so I traded it for a 151 Collectors Box which made me super happy. 🥰 Thanks PokeRev!
