Nice unboxing! I like the Slayer and Black Flag, but I don't think I've heard the Samhain....yet. I had a similar reaction to Show No Mercy. I didnt think much of it at first listen, but went back much later and enjoyed it. As far as cats go, yeah alot of them sit or lay down right on the things you dont want them to. Nice of your cat to make an appearance 😸

Thank you!! From what other commenters are telling me, I think Glenn wanted the band pronounced sam-hain just like it’s spelt. But the actual holiday called Samhain is pronounced sah-win.

The band is called Sam-Hain. That's the way Danzig wanted to pronounce it. The holiday or whatever is pronounced Saw-win. Same word but 2 different pronunciations.

Oh okay. I was confused because I’ve heard him say sam-hain in interviews but in Soul On Fire and November’s Fire (woah both titles have fire in the name!) he says it as saw-win. I guess he’s referring to the holiday in those songs and not the band.

All three good albums. Obviously my favorite of those is Slayer. I got a couple videos playing Fight Till Death. That has one of my all time favorite riffs for the intro/chorus. Obviously I love Samhain as well. Black Flag, when I. In the right mood. It gets played super loud

I always like hearing other people’s favorite songs from my favorite albums, cause sometimes it gets me to listen to a song I might’ve neglected. And usually that song is actually really good.

Show No Mercy is great. It's the only Slayer album in standard tuning. The Albums after that are tuned 1/2 step down

Yep that’s half of the reason I like it so much. Makes it a lot easier to not have to tune down to learn the songs!
