Picked mine up today and came to KZbin to see the public opinion. In all honesty, the craftsmanship on this one is unmatched in the price range (and slightly above too). The bezelled hour markers hit wayyy above the price and the open heart looks absolutely incredible! Mine's the silver dial and I can comfortable say that this watch hits the sweet spot being a very good daily wear watch and also a dress watch at the same time. Many have tried, Tissot succeeded.

@@Sknapps92 honestly, after studying up on watches for the past some time, I would suggest you to go for a Maurice Lacroix instead. They have amazing quartz offerings which might be in the same price range. If you would wanna go for an automatic, I'd consider the Cocktail time.

It will be about a year before I can add this to my collection, she is an absolute stunner. Recently got a Seiko Alpinist and a Marathon Steel Navigator, already have a Tudor Prince Date chrono, this Tissot will likely be the last addition to my collection.

If you haven't bought one yet. Buy the rhodium color. It is the most stunning of out the three available color. I got one myself as a wedding gift too. Technically it's not mine yet, my partner won't let me use it until our wedding day 😂😅😢

i like how minimalist the watch is and still provide that attraction from the onlooker and with the 100meters water resistance this could be a daily watch very nice. the seiko open heart presage also have similar allure to it

Hey excellent video, it is a Nivachron balance spring which is an alloy resistant to magnetism, unfortunately it’s not silicium spring as stated in this video. Case thickness is 11.5. A very reassuring video for me to hold onto mine and we think alike I thought this is better looking than the PRX too. Thank you

Problem with powermwtic 80 is that it uses plastic parts inside, especially the escape mechanism..and ther have been many instances where this parts giving in eventually

Got mine a couple days ago. So far I am getting more happy with it by the day. Seems like a good buy. Looks amazing. The shackles have some uneven gaps. It’s the one thing I have noticed. Other than that it’s perfect to me.

They have some beautiful rose gold options at Tissot. Be careful to check to see if the golden bits are solid alloy, wrapped or plated before you buy though. Plating wears out the fastest. Wrapped is better, and solid alloy is of course the best gold but carries a hefty premium.

0:58 I think Nivachron is not Silicon/Silicium. On the website Silicium and Nivachron is mentioned explicitly to distunguish from each other. Not a 100% sure though. Also Nivachron/ Silicium springs shall help with magnet- resistance (in the end surely also negatively influencing accuracy, but this is not by design improving accuracy). Also it would be very interesting, if the escapement is made of plastic (as it is on the PRX Models - I have a PRX and since I know that the movement cheaps out here I really think about selling it and maybe getting a Gentleman instead).

From the research I did, it all ears to be the same movement is in the gentleman and the gentleman open heart. The PRX definitely does have an inferior movement compared to the gentleman, however I have a PRX Powermatic 80 that has been running for nearly 3 years on a wonder and still keeps excellent time for a mechanical movement

@@clarkunboxing Same here... I also have the PRX and I loved it. Until I got to know that the movement is cheaping out on the escapement. I like the Gentleman OpenHeart much more as I like seing it working and it does not have a date (I hate setting the date once the watch spends some time in the shelf... I am not a big fan of date complication). So for me... maybe I will really sell my PRX and buy the Gentleman OpenHeart. Thanks a lot for your reply, very appreciated!

At first i like the prx but when i go to store tried the Gentleman, Gentleman Open Heart and PRX.. damn The Gentleman or Gentleman Open heart suits me very well, im torn between the Gentleman (because of date) and Gentleman Open Heart (because of Quick release bracelet so i can easily change to leather if i want to).

Depends on the style you want. Mechanically both are great watches but the Gentleman has a silicum balance spring which is antimagnetic and therefore more accurate in the long term

If it helps, the Tissot Gentleman isn’t delicate and it is very solid. Feels quite substantial on the wrist, and very refined.

My philosophy is get what you love, as it’s for you and no one else. But I will say that the Le Locle is beautiful, but borrows most of its design cues from the Tudor 1926 which you could get on the unworn second hand market for slightly more. The Powermatic 80 Open Heart stands alone and truly Tissot.

There is one big difference between the two watches. The normal Gentleman has a date window and the open heart one does not. Depends on what you like.

This one has 25 jewels the ones with plastic or polymer escapement have 23 jewels. It has the calibre 80.661 movement (ETA C07.651) This model also sacrifices the date window at 3 o’clock you will find in the regular Gentlemen for the open heart design. I prefer this one, it’s more eye catching. I have 7.5” wrist and it’s very nice, but 40mm case is about the smallest I’ll go.
