Unboxing Warmachine Cygnar Storm Legion Starter Box

Just like the title says. Warmachine is a game by @PrivateerPressPrime that we quite enjoy. This is a new Mk4 starter box purchased from our local game store. Watch as Tom and Dessa open the box and look at their new plastic toy war dollies.

As someone that has build old metal/resin/restic/and the hard plastic warjacks these new printed jacks with magnet ports are incredible. I’m excited to see what they do with Protectorate and Circle.

I didn't pick up the Khador set. We'll be picking up Brinebloods, most likely. And looking forward to Star Wars Shatterpoint, too.

Great box! The quality of the sculpts is astounding and the designs are gorgeous. My first army would be Dusk, second Orgoth and probably after purchase them I will grab some of this new Cygnar guys. They are too cool to resist 😅😂😂

Nice. I have to take it easy. We're going to play some legacy models along with the Cygnar, and maybe one of the warlock led armies later.

Hey Hey! I got this box too and some of the sculpts have numbers in the sockets for their arms that match the corrosponding arms. I almost missed it and wish it was in the instructions. When you are cleaning and trimming them, make sure to wash your hands and wipe down your work area after handling them before priming since 3d resin is pretty toxic. I head your cats in the background so its especially important for the little buds :)

Thanks for this. It's good to see that, at least, PP has moved away from their ancient packaging and aggravating, oversized plastic clamshell bubble packs. It is unfortunate some parts snapped. I hear there are still consistency problems with curing of 3d printed parts from PP.

I don't have much experience with 3d printed models. Other company's parts I've bought recently were sprues, so they had different issues. I'd like to know if other companies have had similar growing pains into the 3d print realm.

They should get something for help with the spears on the warjacks as some are looking pretty bent. maybe a little plastic bit to hold it straight.

Maybe, right? Note that this was when they first released, and on the expansion (with the lances), I didn't see much in the way of bending. A little warm water sorted the one that was slightly droopy.

Hey weird question but why are there holes in the bases?

The slots are for the older style metal or plastic models. Privateer didn't change their base manufacturing, so they (I'm guessing now) either are getting these from the same supplier, or are using up their existing stock, or continuing to manufacture them the same way until they run out of supplies. On the large base models, the holes/gaps are filled in, and you use the holes on the bottom of the model as a drill guide if you want to pin your models to the base. I use hot glue to fill the gap on the small based models. But an insert would work better.
