Hello Dugle, I've just picked up a second hand sub like yours for$50, I'm going to hook it up on a compact hifi I got for christmas, I'll let you know how it works later.

Do you still have this subwoofer? If not, why did you remove it? Have you ran into any problems with it (rattling, won't turn on any more, etc.)?

Any trigger will do the same job doesn't matter of the receiver or stereo amp. It is very useful future indeed.

Do you have to have an amplifier to connect to for this subwoofer to work? I ask cause I have a friend who has one but stuff is missing and he thinks he will be able to hook it up to his tv. Thanks

Got the original of this (USB version around 1999 !). Still works and will stick with Yamaha - seems they still stick to quality instead of wasting time on kiddies flashing lights. Alan (Scotland)

Thank you for making this video. My nephew gave me one of these subwoofers. Sucker can take down the knick knacks off the wall. Your video was great!!! BOSE? Man you don't mess around do you? I bet your sound system sounds like your in a theater? I have an RCA, it's from the late 90's but it kicks ass. Take care DUGLESSM

How do you connect the subwwofer to the receiver? Now I have a double cable (red and white) from my YAMAHA amplifier to the soobwoofer but your soobwoofer seems to have only a single jack.

Anybody know how much this sub cost new when it was still a current model? Preferably in the UK. Thanks. I bought one a few years ago when it was already heavily discounted. Paid about £55 for it. If it was priced at, say, £150 when it was a current model then I imagine I'm gonna have to pay a fair bit more than that to get something better today, right? So that's why I want to know the original cost. Thanks.

I believe when RS stocked it the price was £129. Then it dropped to £119, £99, £79 I purchased it at the £79 price which was while stocks last before it disappeared from their next monthly products booklet. I still have the unit.

@@colinarmstrong12 Thanks. Much appreciated. I actually bought an Elac sub recently for £220 and I'm fairly pleased with it. But I have kept the Yamaha. It doesn't go anything like as deep as the Elac but I do think it does what it does very well. Cheers.

Instead of spending so much money on high-end audio equipment, maybe you should get a decent handy-cam. Shooting in VGA is so Millennium, this is 2016, we demand 1080p at the minimum :(

actually I just need better lighting...

But the quality is extremely bad. I had to stop watching the video :(

720p60fps is not VGA, get your facts right before posting a stupid comment :)
@AJS820418 жыл бұрын
Ollie Baxter you should get your facts straight, the video is of extremely poor quality equivalent to that of a VGA camera :-/

A-Jai Shah Doesn't matter does it, it's the lighting. If you look, the quality is 720p60fps. KZbin doesn't make shit up. Source for res: brain + "Video Graphics Array (VGA) is the display hardware first introduced with the IBM PS/2 line of computers in 1987. Through widespread adoption, the term has also come to mean either an analog computer display standard, the 15-pin D-subminiature VGA connector or the 640×480 resolution characteristic of the VGA hardware."
