For the people saying that she shouldn't wash Manon, did you even watch the video? Manon's fur had something sticky on it, and they don't know what it is and don't want to risk her accidentally ingesting something she shouldn't while grooming. Washing it out will prevent that + future matting (and in the video her fur was extremely matted to the point that it hurts) Contrary to what you may think, long-haired cats may require baths because they are more likely to get matted fur. Yes cats groom themselves, but in certain cases you HAVE to wash them. THIS is one of those cases. It's like the people who leave these comments didn't even watch the video and decided to leave a comment. Being obtuse on purpose is also not good. And yes, you may think "why did they leave something sticky for her to get herself on anyway?" Again, did you WATCH the video? They mentioned that they DON'T KNOW what the sticky thing is. It's not as if they purposefully made her fur sticky. They have ELEVEN cats. God knows what Manon did to get her fur sticky like that

Yep, I have a long-haired cat with chronic sinus issues. He's a gross, snotty mess and he drags the snot all through his fur when he grooms himself. He also doesn't have enough teeth to do a very good job grooming, and I'm pretty sure he's got the cat version of an intellectual disability because he's REALLY bad at grooming himself. In short... Yeah he 100% needs baths.

My cat gets matted constantly, no matter how much grooming or brushing I do, he just has so much fur that he can’t keep up. He also has a tendency to get into trash cans, once he even tipped one over on himself. So he gets baths here and there! Usually he just gets washed with wipes, but he’s had to get actual baths before. I’m so lucky he trusts me so much, it’d make bath time even harder if he didn’t and panicked. He usually just barely tries to escape, doesn’t even put any effort into it.

I said out loud to myself, “I wonder if this is the first kitty bath at the new house,” and then immediately Hazel said it was.
