How about instead of chasing each gram and millimeter, manufacturers also offer models with extra large or swappable batteries? It's just like with most smartphone manufacturers. Just because you can make a device insanely thin doesn't mean you should, there are other practical aspects as well

I feel like I've used this one at work this Friday. It was a 2-in-1 Elitebook from HP, silver one with Bang&Olufsen. Not sure if it's the exact model, considering we never get "new" thins at work, but it felt quite good. I would not mind using it on regular basis.

Having seen one of these displays in person, it's the strangest thing and it comes across in this video. The panel is never evenly lit whether the privacy filter is on or off. It has this really strange and off-putting iridescent look that nobody has mentioned. It's like those old school projector TV's.

I absolutely love it. Just the Camera (manual cover switch) alone, sold it for me. And so thin, man that's a good looking device, now the only two things to make it perfect would be: 1) Pressure sensitivity in the pen, I mean who takes notes with a pen on a tablet anyway if it wasnt for using it as an art tool? 2) Numeric keypad, yes - there are those of us that use these for navigational purposes in advanced environments.

To those willing to spend the money for this product, the best deal I've seen yet is HP's 4th of July Sale on their products. Incorporate that as being a student, you put yourselves at the large sale cut + another 200 USD (if I remember correctly). Now, I added a bit more higher quality options to my order on the customization, which came out to be around 3700 USD. With the discount, it came down to 2400 w tax, so holidays or other big sales are the move for sure when deciding when to buy this device.
