My favorite line in the entire movie which makes it much deeper than a "superhero" movie.

Sublime, haunting, mellifluous, and powerful, it often makes me cry as it has a sad feeling but one of greatness and the utter lonelIness and isolation of true power !

I liked this movie in highschool. I rewatched it last weekend in my mid-thirties with a wife and kids and it REALLY hits hard once you have lived some life. Scenes that stood out: Carrying Audrey up the stairs and telling her "I had a nightmare". That mix of vulnerability, from the nightmare, and the strength of carrying her up the stairs. That moment is closer to real heroes than marvel, and don't get me wrong, I love all pre endgame marvel, but that scene sticks in my mind. The kid refusing to stop believing in their dad, the scene where he's talking with him at the playground. He's trying to convince his son that he's not a hero but his son just refuses to give up hope in his dad. The entire weight lifting scene. The scene where he points to the newspaper and just nods at his son. What an amazing movie. This sounds a little different than the original soundtrack. I love it though. Great job!

Why is it, do you think, that of all the professions in the world you chose protection? - Again very deep and moody - Keeps me thinking 🤫

David Dunn: Audrey, do you remember me ever getting sick? In the three years we lived in this house? In the old apartment? Before Joseph was born? Before we ever got married?
