@@snakefriendsandcompany Hey man what problems are you having, and what spec's is the system, There are good people here and we will help I have a Ryzen3 and 1050ti with ssd and mech hdd, i have BigBox running well, also have it on a usb 3 ext-hdd and 2.2gh Laptop with 4mb ram, runs pretty good on that too

@@snakefriendsandcompany Maybe with Wheel's they are jpeg or png's and the xml might have it the as the wrong ext, as you know if the Folder Structure is Correct then Artwork will Show,

How do I make a child playlist for All Games? I dont want Fighting games per platform...id like one master Fighting list for ALL my games so when i am on my barcade, all the fighting games are in one playlist and not spread among 30+ platforms.

How do you get favorites to show up as its own category in Big Box?

yeah this is great, however when you do it for MAME, it creates like 200 playlists. Any way to sort it into lesser categories?

It would be cool to make an exclusion for the cleanup tool. So if you make a playlist with custom art, video, music, etc. It would be cool if those playlists didn't get cleaned up for games you care about so much that you want to choose favorite songs, art, video.

I'm curious how the new clean up function works... does it just delete media that isn't pathed to a game in the database? Does it delete one file if there is like a "mortal combat 3-01" & "mortal kombat 3-02"? Or does it actually look at file attributes to know if it's really a duplicate of the same logo for instance? I have some custom images and videos that make me a little nervous about losing and leaving behind default downloaded media if I run this. These updates are awesome, thanks!

Awesome video as usual. It's made my big box look great. Now I just need to find a better looking image form the console tab instead of the SNES looking controller. I want to find one that shows a group of consoles as the image.

1: Yes. 2: Since you can edit genre tags for any game you want, it should, but you won't get a custom clear logo, just plain text.

If for example LB is showing: "Box - Front" ...then to the far right of that LB says: "Reason - File not in use" Will I ever need to use these files or are they duplicates and I can click: "Delete Checked Files" ?

Child Playlists? What is that supposed to mean? - too ambiguous. If it's just ordinary playlists and not Pluto and Strawberry Shortcake, just say so e.g. Generate Playlists.

My first install of MAME added a ton of game and a lot I wasn't interested in. When I did a new install it left a lot of old images in launchbox that needed to be removed.

Is this video still relevant in 2024? If not, I suggest deleting it from the channel. Also, if you could make a video showing how to create playlists that automatically show up in BigBox without having to use a keyboard in any way, that would be awesome and helpful to many people. If BigBox does not allow for the displaying of custom playlists then I would say that is my #1 request for future versions. I want to be able to display games by platform and star rating in BigBox. I want to be able to set that up once and have BigBox remember the setting. So for example I can sort NES games by community star rating and BigBox will always sort NES games by community star rating rather than alphabetical order every time I go to view NES games. I'm not sure how to set this up now. If it's not possible please consider this a feature request.
