Watching this after Arthur smith had been leaked is so funny

Sad, but at least North Carolina handled this situation with class. Bravo! Regarding Arkansas, in the 60's it was a champion and top job.

If UNC doesn’t care about football then why does 40,000 people show up for a game in Chapel Hill on a Saturday.?
@josephherlihy91494 күн бұрын
To show other people they are rich and can afford to do so

Only 40,000

Kenan Stadium capacity is 50,500, that’s less than HALF of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium. I’m a born & bred Tar Heel and an alumnus. We have sold out Kenan for an entire season less than five times, EVER! There’s not a CHANCE we come close to filling up an SEC-sized stadium 6 times per year. Tennessee has a serious fan base. In comparison to that, we don’t have a serious college football fan base. Not trying to be argumentative, just being honest about where we are.

@chrisyoung4654 40k isnt anything to shake a stick at. Like they were selling seats back in those prime Fedora days. They just need good ball and they'll get better numbers. That goes for damn near every school in every sport tho

They are around 46th in attendance and 50th in TV viewership. UNC hasn't won an ACC Title in 45 years. They are one of the main contributors to the ACC being a laughing stock being of constantly underperforming.

Al Golden is the best coach in College Football! UNC and anyone else looking for a Head Coach should SPRINKLE 100 million and sign the man!!🍀🍀🍀

The real question for UNC and all other major non Big Ten and SEC schools is how are you going to compete with schools like Michigan who can pay an incoming freshman QB $10.5 million??? College football is literally going to be 20 or so wealthy football factories that are closer to the NFL than anything else. These schools will be so far above the other 200 or so that they wont have enough worthy competition to play a real 11 game schedule. The Tarheels can hire anybody they want but they won't be in the playoffs without lots of money. College football is ruined, and we don't even know it yet. I do. Only the SEC and the Big Ten can compete is this world, and the bottom of those 2 conferences are going to be beaten like a rag doll every week. Selah
@tarheel74062 күн бұрын
Both the SEC and B1G will invite UNC as soon as it is willing and able to accept. Regardless of the current circumstances, UNC needs a head coach for football while it continues to explore its long-term options.

Does the ACC even count as a power conference anymore. It will be dead in 5 years because of the tv contract they signed.
@tarheel74064 күн бұрын
In context, the BIG12 is already dead. If the new BIG12 is still considered "power", the ACC is clearly a "power".

In the end Mack and UNC weren’t a good fit. I think there was/is more angst between him and the university.he underperformed in the end. NFL QBs and shit defense. The game has moved on from Mack, Nick, Roy, Mike and the list will grow.
