Ocho gets it. He may not be correct all the time but his open mindedness is something that folks need to stop just brushing off. He consistently makes great observations that most people automatically count out just out of pure close mindedness.

I thoroughly agree. Shannon got caught out when Chad mentioned LeBron, Kobe and Magic. If Chad had said Wilt and made the same argument Shannon would've seen the error of his ways. Shannon is a bit like myself. He has very strong convictions which blinds him to other points of views.

If Tom Brady's numbers and longetivty make him the goat, then why is it different for Jerry Rice? Shannon wasn't blinded by his own belief but makes substantiated claims. I don't agree with his claim that Lebron is the goat but he backs them up with plenty of substance. Ocho has the right to his opinions but opinions have limits has proven by his "numbers don't matter" claim.

I think when Ocho picks his GOATs, he also takes into account intangibles like style, fluidity, era, and social/cultural impact. Those things just don't really show up on stat sheets, but I think it's fair to factor them in.

I don't know if it's because I'm learning more about where Ocho's head is, or because he's refining his ability to effectively communicate, but either way, I'm here for it 🙌🏽 Y'all are both doing good work and I love this pod 💚

The Simone Biles and Johnathan Owens talk needs context. I watched their entire pivot episode. He meant he was the catch because she was pursuing him consistently when they matched on the app. He's fully aware that he isn't the catch. I don't want the young man to have an unfair narrative painted on him. He isn't cocky. Their story is actually really nice.❤

He also said he believe men are the catch he wasn’t bragging on himself so definitely needs context. A lot of women are looking for a good man and tryna do the right things to be a wife so a man is the catch sometimes. Back in the day the man was the catch because they needed a man to takeover their father financial role.

I was blessed to see Rice, TO, and Moss. Jerry is still the gold standard. Most people like Moss, Calvin Johnson, or TO more based on their “size” and “athletic” ability. Jerry wasn’t a slouch but the man was simply a pure WR who ate and left no crumbs. Moss can say he was better…..that’s what dawgs do….but I’m always rolling with Jerry

Even in Rice's day he wasn't the fastest, tallest, or could jump as high as others.... but no one could out play him. He out worked people with his fundamentals.

I agree with Ocho 41:00 if Randy had Jerry's QBs, he'd have better stats

Randy had good QB’s. The disparity in their numbers has nothing to do with that. You’re uneducated in what you speak of. He had the opportunity and he was a disappointment, with his tools he should of competed with jerry but didn’t.
