As soon as they lost to High Point, I said it. UNC might go 0-6 down the homestretch. They are now 0-3 and have Syracuse, ND, and Duke. This simply CANNOT happen at a program like UNC, with multiple NCs and a long history of solid lacrosse teams. I know Breschi is widely liked and respected, but I think they have to consider replacing him. If you can't win at that school, with that Nike money, with that new stadium, with those facilities and that campus, you're doing something wrong. I watched the Princeton game and they absolutely got worked. I watched the Army game and if it wasn't for Duffy, would have been a blowout. And, you could argue that if they'd hadn't had Chris Grey fall into their lap and get a great hot streak in the playoffs, Breschi wouldn't have an NC. AND, you have to wonder why they brought in Pietramala when the Cuse fans were happy to see him go. I'm not sure his defensive schemes cut it any longer. And what about the locker room dynamic with THREE sons of coaches on the team? "Man, coach is such an a-.... Oh, oh, didn't see you sitting there, I meant the other coach, not your dad." I mean, playing for your dad in rec league is one thing, who in their right mind wants to play for their father at the DI level? I thought Trevor Tierney was the only guy crazy enough to want to play for his dad, but he was a goalie. And we all know goalies are a bit kooky. If they can't rebound this weekend against Syracuse, and I don't think they will, this could be a long, painful slide to 0-6. And with Cuse coming off that implosion against Cornell, they're going to be angry and out for blood. If they go 0-6...does Duffy transfer to Duke?
