Unchained is my favourite class in the game. Running the burning dagger and the bolt staff just feels great, especially when you get up to that top level of overcharge and you start speeding through hordes like Sonic delivering the flaming retribution of God.

Nice run, only thing I'd change (apart from the lack of long range special control) is take bomb balm instead of wildfire. Your kit is already well suited to dealing AOE dmg with coruscation and fire sword so its probably overkill. Plus gaining 30 temp can help offset the dmg from abandon and keep your tank nice and healthy too. If he dies, it becomes a lot more difficult for you to dps properly because you have less staying power then him with a shield, making coruscation less effective. The biggest loss would be the extra stagger wildfire provides, but honestly you should have plenty of stagger with fire sword and as long as you two are playing together I don't think its that much of a loss.

It would be nice, in Darktide, if you got to go out into the Ash Wastes, even if only on the parts abutting the hive itself. Maybe a huge gash opened in the side of the underhive, so ash is just pouring through, and you've got a view of the sunlight filtering in through the hole.

yep some outdoor areas would be nice. really anything that breaks up the constant industrial/factory rooms and catwalks. Map variety is pretty important to me, and while I dont expect it to be as varied as Vermintide was on launch, a healthy mix of environments and beautiful areas (like the aristocratic upper levels of the Hive) mixed in with all the grunge and metal would be great

The meta with Abandon is to use Bomb Balm so that you can overheat safely multiple times in a short period other than that this was a sick video and the clutch by duke was amazing

I'd still love to see pyromancy in Darktide (is it pyrokinesis or something in 40K?) as just one of multiple psychic disciplines to choose from. There's a whole range of different varieties of psyker to choose from in the material, and while most of them would be harder to translate to FPS gameplay than just shooting magical fiery 'guns' with an overheat mechanic, I hope Fatshark can get a little fancy with it and give us some options that feel substantially different from each other. Especially considering it's going to be possible to have, like, a whole party of psykers. Imagine having quad Siennas in V2; just wall to wall flame particles everywhere (which would be very funny, ngl).

It would be cool if they did something like 40k inquisitor, where the psyker has a warp overheat bar and when it's fully overheated you can continue using your powers but the warp starts to take effect and create anomalies. Visual changes, daemons spawning on you, maybe stay modifiers such as dealing but taking more damage, or even just taking damage or exploding or something. It's random. I love how inquisitor did it and darktide could definitely do something similar.

You do know Hives are typically located on dead or toxic worlds right? So yeah, more likely than not going to be entirely interior maps.

I’m really hoping that the psyker has the option to stay at range from afar for an extended period of time and remain competent. As a psyker I really hope I’m not forced into melee for too long :/

Unchained with flaming flail and beam staff is my favorite build in the game. The resource management balancing of overcharge, health and ult cooldown when using abandon/bomb balm fundamentally breaks some of the key systems of the game in the most enjoyable way possible. I hope we see something similar in dark tide

man, you should vent more often, all that temp hp is ammo to burn, i use sienna like that and she never stops casting... and with WP abbandon is mhe, i usually go with balm bomb i vent all the time, you can vent trough serious damage, like warpfire, bile sploosh etc... venting the unchained makes her almost unkillable, i almost never go supercritical when going ape with the temp hp you get from stagger perk.

high heat is where she gets all her melee buffs, and there's less cushion protecting me in duos or solo runs, so spending lots of time venting = more likely to get hit = going back to high heat but now with less hp. I'm sure there are better, more efficient ways to play her, Sienna is my least played character. But already got lots to manage on focus on in a duo run like this lol. But yeah seems most people think I should have gone Bomb Balm, will give it a shot next time I play her
