Don't forget that during this fight, it was a lovely way to really pay tribute to every aspect of what is Uncharted. Amazing scenery - Check Melee fight - Check Climbing - Check Shooting - Check Sully - Check ;) And it felt rather natural :).

1) spiders were probably placed there as traps, put in crates or corners or caves where they could thrive, that could open if certain puzzles were solved 2) when cutter shot talbot, he was high as a kite. I assumed that talbot wasn't actually shot, but a grunt was, and we saw what cutter saw 3) when talbot disappeared, Drake was high as a kite. Another option is that they're leaving some strings untied for a sequel :P
