Uncharted™ 4: A Thief’s End Chapter 18 Crushing, 2nd hardest section in U4

This was way harder than the elevator fight. Elevator fight took half an hour- you just had to know where to hide. Here, there is no where to hide, and unless you have Grenades at the start it's almost impossible. You have to keep moving or else you will get flanked. I believe that the heavily armored guy isn't even bad. It's the armored guys with the China lakes and the ARXs that are infuriating. This battle took me an hour and a half. Just about to play the chapter 20 fight. I'm scared.

I used photo mode. It helped me a lot to see from which side they push me. Took me about 30 mins.

An important thing in this battle after playing this game a lot in crushing, it is minimal, arriving with 2 grenades to throw them at the enemy of the minigun this will make it only one shot away from dying, hence the strategy that has served me the most It is to go up and stay in a box that is there, having the stairs (where the enemies can climb) and the main room (which we will have in front of us) from there we could have all the enemies coming to us from one of two places and that is that The screwed thing about this part is that the enemies come from all sides, even so this strategy is not 100% safe but it can work.

No nade, 22 bullets primary and 16 handgun ammo, made it so much tougher to beat this part. Still got through so its all good

Provided that you are spawning in cover behind the columns facing the crappy wooden stairs up and the machine gunner coming straight at you: With 2 well placed grenades (and a few bullets) OR 3 china launcher rounds, kill machine gunner (and some enemies surrounding him) as fast as possible. Run towards the room on the other side of the stairs (staying to the right of the stairs for cover), quickly shooting any enemies that charge you and picking up any ammo and grenades (don’t use the machine gun). Get to the room and run straight up the two tier stairs in the left corner of the room, take cover behind the equipment box at top of stairs and start picking off enemies as efficiently as possible. Turn on photo mode and use it liberally to check for enemies charging up the stairs. You should also have a couple opportunities to pop out of cover and quickly grab ammo from enemies, just be aware of the rocket launcher guy. Tough fight, but I found this to be the best method. Be patient and good luck!

This was extremely difficult for me,I had 4 grenades and a grenade launcher at the start started throwing the grenades at the start at the armoured machine gun guy and took out a few guys along with it,but those two armoured shotgun guys are difficult to kill ,currently stuck on 20,it's taking me hours to do.

I'd say the elevator section in chapter 17 would be the hardest on crushing, providing you weren't cheesing through it with infinite ammo/bullet speed/auto-aim. 1. Enemies left right and center. 2. Almost no place to really stand to use your rifle. 3. You have to rely on your side-arm, meaning if you spray and pray, you'll be left without a way to defend yourself. Headshots are a must. 4. A rocket guy on the upper left, a sniper, a heavy with a rifle just blasting away at you and the other jobbers on the right. 5. Oh and we can't forget the grenade spam, can we? At least in the previous fight in the beginning of chapter 18, you can collect a China Lake to bring into this fight to make short work of the brute with the DShK. It's still tough, but that it just my opinion.

+Mordred│Saber of Red after beating this game i think the hardest part in crushing mode is Ch20 (ship fight), 2nd hardest is Ch18 (ambush) then CH17 (elevator)

+Kuri Mao After finally beating crushing myself a few days ago, the ship graveyard section was just ridiculous! It felt good to get past it after all the attempts. I have to say that the ship graveyard fight at the beginning of chapter 20 is the toughest on crushing with the elevator section in chapter 17 behind it and the ambush in Averys mansion at the end of chapter 18 to be last, in my opinion. The ambush at the mansion wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, it only took me six attempts.I managed to make it work by going upstairs and working from there. Where as the ship graveyard and the elevator sections took the longest for me.

elevator was joke comparing to this. all you needed is enough handgun ammo and you can kill everybody hanging from cliff easly not even giving enemy a chance to hit you

yeah, well i played my first playthrough on crushing and brought a sniper to this fight...... but to be frank you do have a checkpoint in chapter 17 with the elevator fight

I cannot believe this is not the hardest part of the game. I have tried this over 450 times. This is insane. The higher powered weapon guys just show up out of nowhere. This is by far the hardest challenge Ive had in a game level. I cant imagine how much harder chapter 20 is going to be.

Great job! I'm still stuck here and am SOOOOOOOOOO tempted to turn on auto-aim and use infinite ammo but I set myself the challenge to do it without those so I will keep trying!

Bro i was right at the end and a guy came out of nowhere do fight me Drake automatically got his weapon them I died bc it was a sniper (the guy who killed me was almost face to face but i couldn't fight, I would get shot)

People don't even know how graphically supreme this game is. this whole section is alpha transparencies all over the floor meaning. if you have any type of explosion the whole explosion will be raytraced on the floor meaning. the smoke and the fire will cast reflections all over the floor. No PC games maxed out have This in it. it's to demanding on the GPU. It's extremely hard to capture smoke in a reflection, so far only uncharted 4 has this in it.

I made it like in my 5th or 6th try, first of all you need to get use to the pace and secondly you need to be really quick and roll and take cover alot for short periods.
