@@weaverquest Yes. 100% For sure. I was so excited for that game. She said there was a huge amount finished. I think I read somewhere they moved all those game assets to another studio. Another game like Star Wars 1313 bites the dust. You know Neil Druckman got Amy kicked off Uncharted 4 also. She was 8 months of development into it. Neil just got a bunch of clout from TLOU & started to gain more narrative & creative control over the direction if ND games. He scrapped huge parts of her story. He scrapped all the mo-cap, which resulted in actors quitting. And changed a couple characters because "not enough females." I wish Amy would get the opportunity to make more narrative driven & big games like Uncharted. I think she's at some VR developer right now.

@@weaverquest Buddy, you don't know that. Yeah she didn't work on TLOU, so what? He might feel that way about her and the studio. I do. Im not jumping on any bandwagon, I've always felt this way. It was a big deal when she left back in 2014. I'd been following her career and was pretty upset. Later, in Jason Schreier's book where he interviewed many Naughty Dog employees, it came out that she was essentially pushed out of the company very suddenly. There was a meeting with higher ups and then she was gone the same day. They had already shot and recorded 8 months of work on cutscenes. There is good reason to be upset at her departure and given Naughty Dog's body of work since, one can easily make the argument that something is missing from the studio - and in many people's opinion, its her.

I love both Uncharted 4 and TLOU as well. But those games are so tonally different than Amy's Uncharted trilogy. For TLOU that makes total sense. But for Uncharted's last outing ( a decision that was made by Neil and Bruce immediately after Amy left by the way, she thought there were more stories to tell still) I was still frustrated throughout that game. It was so much more self serious. It lacked a kineticism, a certain momentum, sense of fun and a style that was so present in 1,2, and 3. It's clear her influence was gone and that the heads of TLOU influence was present. Which makes sense, different creatives have different visions. But ND are still technical wizards, and extremely competent game makers. I haven;'t read TLOU 2 spoilers, I'm withholding judgement. I'm not saying ND is dead, just saying it isn't the SAME without Amy and I miss her work dearly. Totally with you on her cancelled Star Wars project, that really sucks for her after what happened at ND.

I remeber my very first uncharted game was 3 it came in a bundle with the ps3 slim and it was my very first ps3 game. I did not know anything about this game but man was i blown the hell away by how amazing the game was . Years later when they release The Nathan drake collection on the ps4 and i finally got around to playing 1 and 2 for the first time . I sat and played the 1st game in one sitting and played the 2nd one in onr sitting as well and i was immersed and invested in the story and characters it was unlike any games ive played before and I felt i was in massive epic journey and i didnt want it to it to end . It was definitely one of the best experiences ive ever had as a gamer . Truly an iconic epic franchise and one of playstation's pillars . Much love to the cast and amy henig and the og naughty dog developers for making these games happen.

Guys, this was the single greatest episode of Retro Replay EVER. Uncharted 3 is the greatest game, and this is the greatest cast!! I loved how Amy Hennig came in to the call and she immediately started roasting people, and then at one point everyone was either dying of laughter or holding their heads and Claudia was about two minutes away from burning her trailer.. I wanted to thank all your team at Retro Replay, for making me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes. I've been a big fan of the channel since the start. Nolan North, Troy Baker, Amy Heneghan, Emily Rose, Robin Atkin, Richard, Claudia, Graham etc. You guys made in incredible product. That has stood the test of time. You can tell even today. Naughty dog was a different studio back then. I'm sure your enthusiasm and riffing off one another had the directors and other staff members cracking up. Maybe a little frustrated if Amy's facial expressions on the stream are any indication. But none the less. The series is definitely one of my favourite I.Ps. I hope you guys are all doing well in these strange times. I'm looking forward to next weeks show. Hopefully Things will return to normal posthaste. So you guys can get back to work, doing what you love. Hope to see you back on that old couch soon. Take care cheers.
