I think my favorite thing about this ending is that they actually GET the treasure and they STILL choose to be treasure hunters. After the 2nd games, things start to shift for Nathan and there's a lot of "this isn't worth it". You get that he wants more and more to settle down and they completely sealed it with Uncharted 4. Plus, not since the first Uncharted 1 game have they actually gotten away with really any of the treasure they set out to find. It either turned out to be fake or just a few scraps and their lives. This game is cool because they actually DO find the Tusk, everyone is safe, and they still continue to be treasure hunters :>

Well for UC 1-3, it’s not that they were fake, it’s just that the things they were looking for aren’t actually treasures, but something else. Another theme from the series is that the antagonists actually know what they were looking for. Nate and others just find it out in the end.

Two things- 1) Thank you once again for making us an awesome cutscene movie, GLP! keep on the good work! :D 2) And this one contains spoilers, I'd say that I was disappointed from the game's plot, but that would be a lie. Nothing can really top the plot of Uncharted 4, and While TLL gave a lot of interesting insight about the backgrounds of Chloe and Nadine (Nadine is by far my favorite character in the franchise so far), Asav, as a villain, feels like some of his background is missing. all this talk about "purging the new blood" makes him look like he is actually an immortal from the days of the old kings, but since he is a normal person, this makes no sense, since he should be extremely old, and he dosen't really show much hate to the indie government in his screen time as much as he shows desire to simply wage civil war for the sake of waging civil war. Also, as a plot device, the tusk of Ganesh feels like it's losing it's importance once it is found. I mean, not only does this proof that the actual god Ganesh actually existed gets almost no attention at all, but the importance of the horn feels like it's diminishing entirely when we learn that Asav plans to blow a massive bomb, and he must be stopped. usually, when the main treasure is found in the uncharted games, the final fight takes place there( or in golden abyss' case, very shortly after that), but in TLL, it leaves us with almost 30 minutes that make the tusk lose it's relevance to the plot. Also, while I'm glad that Sam gets screentime in this game, his behavior is at times downright repulsive. you'd think that after U4, his priorities about the safety of others would change a bit, but in TLL, it's like he regressed backwords for some reason. Some part of me wishes that Cutter would've been in his place in TLL. and finally- even though Chloe has developed as a character, I still think that she is a really crappy person to team up with on a job. I was 100% on Nadine's side when she got pissed on Chloe regarding Sam's involvement, but I'm glad that Chloe got some sense in the end, and went to stop Asav on her own if she would've had no choice. Bottomline, while this game's plot dissappoints me, it's not a complete failure in the slightest. the exposure to a new mythology is always fascinating for me, and the sights are as always amazing to see. So...yeah, not a total loss, and I still recommend seeing this as part of the full Uncharted experience, though I'd wish that the plot would've happened before A Thief's End, since I really hate seeing a really good franchise getting a not so good story to end with, right after having a really good game that basically concluds the franchise, like what happened in the Starcraft 2 lore.
