Just get remote play on ur phone and test it out first. If it laggy / choppy on ur phone using remote play it will be the same on the portal. Best option always is to hook up ur PlayStation with a Ethernet cable straight to the internet box

I have 1000 Mbps fiberlink connection. Definitely I recommend PS Portal. It’s my favorite handheld device. If you have good WiFi, that this is the best experience for handheld gameplays. Recommendations: the most important is the router. A decent router will give you the perfect experience. Most people believe that the one received from the internet company is enough. No, it’s not. In general, those devices aren’t capable to manage multiple connections in the same time, and that’s why they have that lag during gameplay. Also, if there are other wifi routers nearby (from neighbors), that can be a problem. But the most important advice: get a powerful WiFi router (after all, it’s the PC that will manage the WiFi signal distribution). Connect PS5 via cable. Set PS Portal as favorite device in router’s settings (in my Asus router I have some prioritization settings for WiFi connectivity).
