Folks can be so silly. I was just a little girl in when Family Feud started. My family thought nothing of it. I always remember thinking... how kind. Kissing is not a bad thing.

Kristine Johnson I agree. I bet that " old hamburger (🤣)" would really love the state of things as they are now and Richard would really be flummoxed now......there seems to be no room for kindness any more in some quarters......

Female contestants when winning their way upon stage on TPIR quite often gave Bob an friendly smooch. So it goes both ways actually. That was so adorable though how in the 1994-95 Dawson Feud he explained that he couldn't kiss the contestants no more because his daughter insisted that those kisses belong only to her and mommy and no one else.

GSN kept the address intact in a later (2009) rerun. It was a simple yes/no survey for the kissing to continue on the show (which it did). This episode’s date is 4/7/1977

+Haseeb Ali Seems they did it to block whatever Richard Dawson said to the person that wrote the letter. And, he probably gave out an address or something that is no longer in use, so they blocked it with that website blurb.
