Kittens seem to be having a wonderful Adventure without the help of Buster. But I noticed he did not want to get too far away from him. Oh yes Mr Buster you are still just beautiful. Dexter is so handsome! That white fur on the sides of his head ilooks like a lion's mane.. Just wonderful. Autumn begins to wane; looking forward to cooler weather and more adventures with Buster, Luna, Freya, and now Dexter.

Buster and young Dexter, are two spectacular Maine Coon cats. However, there is something very regal and majestic about Buster, that makes him quite unique. It is subtle, but very apparent. Dexter has a different look altogether, beyond the fact that he is still a large kitten, and he too has quite amazing markings in his coat color. As an adult he becomes even more handsome, but Uncle Buster is still the winner in the looks department! They are both very well behaved, while interacting with nature. I am amazed how well they both interact with all the unusual sights , sounds and smells of the forest! Quite remarkable to see these intrepid feline explorers in action , during their forest trek.. The pictures you got of the both of them on logs or rocky outcroppings, were extraordinary! They are two wonderful subjects to photograph in nature. Thank you for sharing their ongoing adventures with all of us. It is incredibly entertaining to watch the two Maine Coon cats, communing with nature.

Buster was surveying his kingdom, I think! And Mr Independence, aka Dexter, certainly got around. He did a good job, but did make me laugh when he dove head first into the basket. You must have wanted eyes in the back of your head a couple of times there, too, with them so far apart! Seems like just the other day you were wandering around there and leaping over the last of the spring snow. Time flies… 🇨🇦💕

Your beautiful boys are very fortunate to have this outdoor experience in such a setting. Sadly some cats never go outdoors or enjoy this enriching experience. My Maine Coons were indoor/outdoor cats and although there were times when we worried, they always stayed close and came home safely every night. This, before the days of tracking devices. I believe they had a better life than other cats kept strictly indoors. One of my boys went for evening walks with me, without a leash, and would stay at my side just like a dog. He was a pacifist and if we approached a dog he would quickly find a spot to disappear until the coast was clear. We often went to the riverbank to feed the ducks together. My other MC at the time would start out on our walks but quickly lose patience with our leisurely pace and rush off on his own adventure. Luckily our neighbours were very supportive and enjoyed our cats just as we did. Your videos bring back fond memories! Thank you!

I believe it's something you have to start when they are very young. I had a Maine Coon mix a few years back who came to me as a stray. At one point I tried walking him with a leash but he was too afraid and wanted to go back home.

@@BonBonPondI tried a halter and a leash with both my MCs when they were about Dexter's age. Neither one liked the feeling of the halter and walked with their bellies to the ground trying to scrape it off. Nor did they like a leash. I think they realized that their ability to run or climb to escape danger was compromised.
