The Uncle Floyd show was briefly syndicated on a national basis in the Summer of 1982. When it came to one of our local independent UHFs, I decided to check it out. I was a bit perplexed the first time I saw it, but I tuned in the next evening and was hooked. I love the heady humor, low-budget props and the occasional appearances by some rockin' bands and singers. That show is a treasure, and I will never forget it. We are lucky we can still get these clips on the internet. Snap it, pal!!

I grew up watching Floyd on TV68 and later on NJN. My favorite show ever. I loved how everyone would break each other's chops throughout the show, all in good fun. It's almost a new experience watching as an adult, as I now get a lot of the jokes I missed as a kid. I was such a fan, I even put up homemade flyers promoting the show on the telephone poles along my route to school on Long Island, I was probably 10 at the time. Still have some of my Fan Club stuff.

For some reason one of my most vivid memories from infancy is the time my parents took my 6 yr old brother and I to see Uncle Floyd when I was 2. It was raining. At some point we stood in line and met him, bought t-shirts, and then went to go sit in an outdoor eating eating area. There were some teenagers there at another table who glared at me, maybe because I was crying (as babies do). Really strange, but Uncle Floyd is etched into my memory more clearly than almost anything else from when I was little. I remember him being really nice and friendly.

I was married in 1983 and we had children in 84, 85 & 86. Our middle daughter was the only one that could be put to bed awake and would go to sleep without crying. Monday through Friday our routine was to give her a bottle at 7 pm while watching Uncle Floyd on snowy UHF New Jersey Network channel 23. At 7:15 Floyd had a commercial break, I put her to bed and came back downstairs to catch the second half. I liked it a lot but I’m not sure why.

Watched Floyd right after dinner in the 80's in Jersey. Even my Mom would sit in with us sometimes to hear Floyd play and sing. Me, my sisters and friends used to literally cry laughing, while watching. I so miss these days. Same vibe with Gene Gene The Dancin' Machine.

Thanks, somebody, for putting these up. I've been waiting a long time to see them again. I lived in New York for a year in the mid-1980s, and watching Uncle Floyd was an evening ritual for my sons and I. Big respect to Floyd and the gang. This is first class entertainment.

I think that it had to be somewhere between 1988 and 1989, Uncle Floyd and Rocky and Bullwinkle used to come on really late at night on a local channel where I lived as a kid. I still watch a lot of Rocky and Bullwinkle and whenever I hear the music it reminds me of my mom letting me stay up to watch, and Uncle Floyd. I couldn't remember his name until just now. So this is the first time I've seen Uncle Floyd since the late 80's.
