Sidgwick is literally nitpicking. Talking about the cameraman seeing dead people. Why does every wrestler wait for people off the top rope or stay in the path for a suicide dive? Why don’t you pick on that. Wrestlers during backstage segments pretend there’s no camera there. Stop this man, it’s pathetic
@mjohn3126

Why to heels explain their plan in front of the camera? Why is there a camera when a heel attacks someone backstage? ITS SO THE AUDIENCE CAN SEE WHATS GOING ON! If we didn’t see the aftermath of the attack then there would be no hype for this new team and Sidgewick would say “this group is dead on arrival”

It always gets me when critics (like Sedgwick here) say things like "I'm not scared by this." Does Drew McIntyre intimidate you? I guess you really do hate Dominick Mysterio too, right? You're able to suspend reality to consume wrestling enough to critique it, but not here? That's so odd to me, and part of the reason why I have a hard time taking some wrestling personalities seriously. If you don't like it, you don't like it. That's fair. To add the caviot that this doesn't scare you, however, is misguided. And the camera operator bit?! Are you serious?! Only NOW?...ONLY NOW do you care about the scene falling apart because the camera operator is present? As if this isn't a TV show where a wrestler attacks an official or a referee and no one presses charges...where a match gets stopped do to disqualification, a beat down happens, and no one is arrested for assault....I mean hell, Bron Breaker and the Rock apparently tried to "off" Ricochet and Cody Rhodes respectively. You don't here anyone saying "well, this fell apart for me, because the cameraman was present for all of the home invasion angles I've ever seen, and doesn't that make them an accessory or accomplice to a break in? I just can't take this seriously."

These are essentially my thoughts as well. I think it’s okay to critique wrestling logic when it contradicts *itself*, but it often leads into overanalyzing and over-critiquing when you try comparing it to real world logic

Sidgewick just kept repeating himself, I at least tried and gave him the benefit of the doubt when he said “But” then he went absolutely nowhere with it lol 🤦🏾‍♂️😂 Pro wrestling is an art form, the beauty of it really comes from the standpoint that really any character/presentation can exist! If you’re not fan of horror that’s one thing, supernatural elements? The Undertaker, one of the most revered performers of his generation, did those same exact things, so why is that when Bray or even Bo aka Uncle Howdy does it, it’s called horrendously hokey? This is why as a society, we’re told to understand everyone has an opinion on something, that’s fine but they didn’t tell me I had to agree with it, as a matter of fact, this guy’s opinion is entirely misguided, too nit picky, critical even, but moreover just wrong. Let it play out, before talkin out your head sir

Really had to pick 2 of the more overly negative staff members to give their views to throw a bucket of cold water on what was a great segment. Christ sidgwick really likes to try and sound more intelligent than he is. Talking about derivative shots etc, when I guarantee the extent of thought was "dress Nikki as sister Abigail and make her look scary". Not "let's copy the ring". Happy every week that theres a random camera man listening in on private conversations, but can't suspend disbelief over a camera man not being massacred when invited in by Nikki. Noone except sidgwick legitimately thinks that the people back stage were supposed to be dead. Take your own advice. Don't think too deeply. There were no 'exit wounds', jesus christ. Felt so sorry for Adam having to sit there and listen to them ramble on. Legitimately screams 2 poms pissed off that Drew didn't get his moment at CATC, so they're taking opportunity to shit on something unnecessarily, didn't say a single positive thing.

I find the thing where dude says "It always fizzles out with Bray Wyatt" honestly so disrespectful. I get what he's trying to say, but Cult Leader Bray didn't fizzle out because of Bray's lack of ideas, the same with the fiend, creative McMahon was at fault, which is also somewhat relevant when you watch the documentary. And then the last time it fizzled out, granted, some people got tired of it because we live in this tik tok generation where people can't wait two months for a conclusion, but also it "fizzled out" because the man got really sick and eventually died. What a poor way to frame something.

😮 oh yeah one other thing I don’t know if you guys noticed that you probably did. Chad, when Otis turned on him, he kept yelling in the ring, but we are family. You can’t leave me. I won’t let you in the backstage area when they left Chad again, stated you can’t leave me. We are family. I won’t let you. Then in the final scene of the show, Chad is the one that we can clearly see as the last victim of the night. So perhaps their motivation is family and those who are betraying or not treating family the right way at least that’s what I think.
