Given activision’s incredibly corporatist attitude and setting, I feel Jeff had to fight for a lot of things to be in OW (for the free events mind you). With OW2, it’s possible Activision wanted to step in to try and finagle with a lot of things, and Jeff probably got tired of it (along with everything else at the company).Yeah, it does seem like Jeff did nothing, but since OW and OW2 were made under a corporation, there’s bound to be more to the story.

And yeah, of course he (and the whole team behind Overwatch) deserves praise. They created a genuinely awesome game and had one hell of a success with a new IP in a genre that has been quite fully stacked even before Overwatch (and yeah, i know, technically it's a moba-ish shooter, but in it's core, it's a team-shooter anyways and there are quite a lot of those around). And that, however, is the over thing - success tends to go to peoples' heads, sometimes more, sometimes less straight.
