The three restaurants are popular; the Thai restaurant because it is next to a lake and a recreational park. All cooks are Thais. People seldom mentioned about Satay Putera, hence it is rather unknown, it is a tourist trap. The decoration is good for tourist with a water well in the centre of the shop.

Rest Kee V food looks delicious and reasonably priced! Iced Tea is still 60 cents unlike many places these days charging stupidly! The owners sounds like a Northerner.

The real good satay is run by the founder's grand daughter at Medan Sate. This is opposite KFC n Plaza Metro . Pls go to the second stall manned by the grand daughters. Taste remained the same as grandpa's time in the Chinese coffeeshop Ban Seng. Remember the second stall pls. Many imitations all around.

Both stalls are descendants from Rono. Just that the second stall taste better. Another Rono is in Simpang Balak. Definitely better than Putera Satay.

They add chicken fat ti satay so the fat would drop on the charcoal n set the blaze up to give it the aroma needed. Many failed to realise this point in grilling meat.

Yes, fat in meat is what gives the flavor and aroma…and that includes chicken, beef, pork, etc… But some stall owners just stuff 1/2 a skewer with chicken skin to save cost instead of doing it for the flavor - sellers like this, I don’t like.. came across this kind of sellers before.

Nolar. Why you want to try Satay Putera, there are many more, more delicious than Satay Putera. Namely, Samuri, Willy, Rono, etc. All these are run by Muslims.

Tried the satay on your recommendation. I'm very disappointed. The mee goreng was mushy and bland. Not authentic at all. You should try the Penang mee goreng at the SS2 food court, also operated by Chinese. Cheaper, very delicious, and includes sorong in their mee goreng. Thr satay was a letdown. The colors were pale. It looks like it was cooked in a microwave. There were no char grill marks or flavors. And the kambing satay was raw! We had to return it to be re-cooked again. It's definitely not worth the premium price.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience. Raw is definite no no.. been there couple of times and didn’t experience any of the negatives that you experienced. Maybe they had a change of cooks / staffs… my last visit was just 3 weeks ago.

太粗的沙爹根本不好吃！難腌入味，也难烤熟内部要嘛外部过于焦烧！ 大块的鸡胸肉更柴更不好吃！ 我老乡马来人做的比kajang的好吃多了！
