Hi. My name is Angela K, from St Paul MN and i have been with y'all from the beginning. Oh Uncle Si thank you for that word. Im not suicidal and will be praying for our vets, but my hubby and i are empty nesters and have given God our lives to do with them wherever He wants during this next season of our lives, and Hes done some amazing things in and thru us, but weve been in a holding pattern for 3 years but spending time just getting to know Him more...but lately ive been struggling with the waiting, and your word tonight about what you shared at Ft Polk was the Lord speaking right to me. Thank you, and JD for sharing that. I needed to hear that...so thank you guys! Love you my brothers. Angela K, St. Paul, MN

I was fishing one day and I hear "Do you have a license?" I turn around and there stands a Texas Game Warden. "Excuse me sir." I walk past him and approached my dog sitting behind my truck. "What's wrong with you. A stranger walks up and you don't bark!! A GAME WARDEN walks up and you just sleep!!!" The game warden was trying real hard not to laugh as I handed him my license. I explained to him that I grew up in Arkansas in a family of "lawful" hunters and he was the first game warden I ever talked to in 27 years.

Bryce, here's advice from a peanut in this gallery: make a request of the home town school to spend a half day or so in the school. Even McDonald's does a 1 day "try before you decide" and they pay you although getting paid for it isn't all that common. I guess it's the sentiment that draws you to your hometown. It may be everything you hoped it would be. However, it could also end up ruining how you currently feel about it by not being a pleasant work atmosphere or something. You mentioned you like your coworkers and that's a hard thing to find these days. But if you long to give back by working in the community you grew up in, there may be a trade off. If you're able to find current or past employees of that school, ask them about the work atmosphere. Try to get insight. You spoke well of your current job so doing the homework (asking for time at the school, perhaps shadow a teacher, seeking other people's experiences, etc) is going to be well worth it before you take the leap, if you do.

@@vanmoody your welcome. I would go do my laundry at night on base in Norfolk VA. at the shipyard laundromat. Walking back to the ship I would see something darting around in the street lights along the dock. At first I thought they were cats or small dogs. I mentioned it to my Chief Petty officer and he laughed and said Son, those are wharf 🐀 rats!!"...I kept an eye out from then on even in the daylight! But I only saw them at night. That was in 1973

Hey Daniel, Listen to the Ken Colman show. He does some stuff with Dave Ramsey. His show focuses on finding your passion and dream job. I now own my dream business for survival and prepping. (Alpha X Ready ) I’ve done trades. Landscaping to welding and steel fabrication and still learn and work other trades till the business is a major success. By the way, I’m 23. Hope something here is helpful to someone. 🍀

They need a dog that has terrier. Preferably a rat terrier. My dad had one and they lived along the Ohio river. That dog would seek out rats and catch them and shake them and break the bones on the body. Very effective dog!!

The main thing, Get your high school Diploma, or get a G.E.D. because it is not like it was 30 + years agoi where you could get a job just about anywhere. And you would be surprised what you can do on farms, I am not talking only about chicken farms Be a good worker, do something with yourself, be something. I could have been several things, but I let my fears control me. Pray about it and trust in God to lead you the right way, and do not be scared to make drastic moves, as long as the right entity is leading you.
