Thanks for posting this brand of juju music. I could remember when the band broke away from Idowu Animashaun and everything was hatched at Ekotedo Ibadan. One of the band members lived in the same building with me at NW6/123 Ayorinde Street, Ekotedo Ibadan.

Nowadays kids dance to HipHop. They are now hipping and hopping. Yoruba says, "igba kan o lo'le aye gbe". Nothing in life last forever.

Sincerely speaking, Egba is significant and has no equal in Yoruba kingdom in all ramifications. Going by History, Egba produced Ebenezer Obey, Obasanjo, Fela Anikulapo, Ayiinla Omowura, MKO Abiola, Shonekan, Idowu Animasaun, Uncle Toye Ajagun, Shina Peters and Prince Adekunle.

@gbengus99 , Magbe Magbe has always been Uncle Toye Ajagun signature late 1970s and early 1980s songs. By way of history, Toye was a prodigy and former band member of Idowu Animasawun of Apola Band. Both of them were Ibadan-based musicians with distinctive Egba/Abeokuta-accent music in the 1970s and early 1980s. To all of you out there, where are these two musicians now? Thanks for your reply.

Uncle Olatoye Ajagun is living a gud life in his house @ Apata area Ibadan. I think he'll be 77 in March and he's actively doing music. His former boss, Mr. Idowu Animasahun has bn an Evangelist/Pastor since the 1980s. He himself is also doing well in his his mid 80s now. His singing voice is still very gud!

Hmnnnnn.. You know I keep on wondering and considering the word of God in the Bible. Ground is one of the three things that would never tell the world that he's ok frm eating flesh. Where are these good Nigeria musicians and what have they left for their followers? I just wonder why we don't have people singing the likes of songs of Yusufu Olatunji, Toye Ajagun, Emperor Pick Peter, Auja Bello? Sunny,Ebenezer are there and would someone take over from them for the generations to come
