This is the first one of these podcasts I’ve watched but it’s so nice to hear Pat be himself and not just some cookie cutter energy drink guy that they’ve all been the last few years! Just nice to know the guys like to sit with a joint and just chill like us regularly dudes who don’t ride professionally!

Pat Casey has been one of my favorite riders since he came on the scene, I'd love to see more edits from him, and I'm all about street Pat, please give us that lol. Awesome job guys as always!
@greatswamp093 жыл бұрын
Also it's very frustrating to watch riders like pat at events and he is hardly breaking the top 10 or never top 5, even if your into the whip bar whip whip bar bar, how can you not see that pat is one of the top riders it's not like he's doing a table and gap the whole time. Dudes doing tricks nobody else does that are extremely different and diffi, same with Kevin Peraza
@Kakaizno13 жыл бұрын
I hear you men, guys like pat and Kevin get underscored a lot by judges and multiple events. Pat should definitely have some big contest wins up his sleeve by now.

It blows my.mind that Mongoose has to tell their riders that they started off as a real brand. I still have a SuperGoose, that I raced in the early 80s, they were a top brand, and trend setter at that point.. The Walmart thing really ruined a lot of companies.
@greatswamp093 жыл бұрын
They really do get a ton of hate from everyone and I don't have a problem with what they are doing, honestly you need brands like them to make bmx accessible for way more people then the core brands do. And it's not like they have their pros riding shit bikes. And they were the og if bmx, they deserve alotnof credit just like haro and gt have always seemed to get.
@mikehagen37853 жыл бұрын
@@greatswamp09 in the 80s, if you did your research, you could buy a really decent, Upgrade worthy bike for under $200. Now you cannot, so the box companies are a necessity for those kids that crave to ride, except the parents are either ignorant or not able to provide a decent entry level bike for their kids.. unfortunately companies like Pacific, or Kent take advantage by putting out unsafe crap, and Walmarts irresponsibility lies in their unprofessional assembly of said crap. If major, rider owned companies could (they can't) put out bikes that the local Bike shop could sell at a $200 price point, things would be much different. My kids 18" Sunday Primer is bad ass, but at $350, is a pill most parents wont swallow, and my 7 year old thinks his buddy's $120 jet fuel POS Amazon bike looks cool, even though it's to big for his friend, and will be a throw away in a year. My son's bike will be around for many more kids to enjoy and learn on. For me, a 2nd generation 80s BMX guy, it freaks me out that a parent would put their kid on such a piece of crap. But I do remember Huffy and team Murray's, but they at least sponsored teams and promoted some events, even though the Team riders were on ELFs or custom built frames with their sponsors stickers... I guess it's really still the same, Mongoose does offer real bikes and parts still, but most would just consider them a Walmart brand.. the only reason I wont ever buy a Mongoose again... so some kid doesnt think his is just like mine...whew, that was long...
