This cannot work. Chemistry 101. Mixing acid ( which is what lime and vinegar are) with a base (which is what baking soda is ) will lead to carbon dioxide and water. The bubbles one sees is carbon dioxide getting released. You cannot overcome the chemistry of a base+acid=salt+water.

You are correct on your chemistry, but there are physics at play too. When you mix the two together, it creates carbon dioxide and water. This creates head pressure and clears the blockage.
