Unconditional Acceptance with A Course in Miracles and Maureen Muldoon

Today, we are talking about The Path to Unconditional Acceptance or unjudgement.
When I wrote this sermon, I was waiting for the Holy Spirit to tell me the story… the example of how to apply this theory.
But I never got an example, and I couldn’t think of one.
So I went to the Holy Spirit, and I said, how do you explain this it’s very heady.
How do you make this applicable in a story form,
and It said, don’t worry about the story,
you’ve been a great storyteller,
now you are going to just tell the truth
and funny enough, I am pretty sure that’s the story.

There is an old saying, Those who live in a glass house should not throw stones.
Hearing this as a kid,
I remember thinking,
Maybe no one should…. through stones,
regardless of the type of house they lived in.
As I got older
I came to understand that the saying was meant to advise us that people who had faults should not criticize other people for having the same faults.
After many years with ACIM, I’ve come to see that Being nonjudgmental is not something we do to ensure that we won’t get hurt or get our glass house busted…
it is something we do because we are not designed to judge.
AND
If we are in the stone-tossing business,
If we have engaged in gossip or character assassination, it is because we refuse to look at our own brilliance.
We focus on each other’s shortcomings so that we can unconsciously keep track of our own, ensuring that we never live into our brilliance and reach our liberation.
So basically,
Seeing faults in others shows us that our sight is faulty-not the person but our own sight.
To practice radical nonjudgement, we would give up judgments on our brothers
and eventually give up the harsh and hideous judgments
we cast upon ourselves. That is the last shadow.
