What was that yellow strip you placed in the crack and then took out once you finished ?
@DecoCreteTV7 күн бұрын
That was a textured joint strip. They work great for seamless texture overlays! I'll leave a link to the full video below. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/r37FdaWMm8yiers

Do you have any suggestions or videos for resurfacers that delaminate even after following the directions... I used Quikrete Recap, and it's been junk. I have all of the photos of the project. They say to not use a primer. I tried it both ways with the same results. Thanks for any help. Btw, your product seems to go down thicker like general Portland and sand.

Thanks for the comment! The best way to handle a failing overlay would be to completely remove it and start over. A grinder with a diamond cup wheel would the fastest way of doing this. Once you're back down to bare concrete, the next step would be a thorough power wash. We offer a few different overlay mixes, some are designed to go thicker than others. Our Trowel Overlay would be a similar consistency to the stuff you were using, it can applied from 1/16" - 1/4" and can be finished in verity of ways. Our Stamp Overlay can be applied up to 1/2" and is designed to be stamped just like fresh concrete. We recommend to always use our Sure Bond primer before applying any of our overlay products. I'll leave a few links to these products below. Hopefully, this helps. Can this go over indoor ceramic tile?
@DecoCreteTV11 ай бұрын
This would depend on what type of type of tile and overlay you are working with. Most overlays are designed to be applied directly to concrete. You can get overlays to bond pretty well to some types of tile, but it's hard to get rid of the grout lines and if the tile ever moves the overlay would come up with it . The best thing is to remove the tile first and get back down to the concrete. Thanks for watching!!!

Do you have a video explaining how to level a concrete surface? For instance if a driveway falls away (around 1/2 to 3/4 downward) next to a step. Is this task possible without getting cracks later?
@DecoCreteTV5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! We don't have any videos on that, but there are concrete leveling companies that offer this as a service. A-1 Concrete Leveling is a nation franchise with branches in quite a few states. Most areas have local companies as well. If you Google "concrete leveling companies" you should find a few options. They will drill holes in the slab and pump foam or a slurry mix under the slab to raise it back up to the right height. I'll leave a link to video from FoamWorks that shows the process. Please tell me what product you are using to fill the pattern of a previously stamped concrete like you briefly commented on in this video. Do you by chance have a video explaining this process too.
@DecoCreteTV7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! We not have a video on this exact process, but it's pretty straight forward. In most cases, our Stamp Overlay mix will work best for filling in an existing pattern. The prep work & priming are the same as any other overlay project. You can apply this coat with magic trowel, and it only needs to be thick enough to fill up the texture and grout lines. Once that first coat is dry, you can re-prime the surface & continue on with overlay just like normal. I'll leave a link to the Stamp Overlay page on our website. What about doing a concrete overlay but doing a flagstone pattern would that work with your material?
@DecoCreteTV Жыл бұрын
Yes, a flagstone pattern would work fine with our Stamped Overlay. You could use pretty much any concrete stamp you want, you just have to adjust the thickness to the depth on the stamp. You could also do a flagstone pattern with grout tape & Trowel Overlay. I'll leave a few links to some other videos at the bottom. Hi, can we skip the primer for self leveling cement over tiles?
@DecoCreteTV6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! We would not recommend skipping the primer for that! It's even more important when going over tile. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!
