People like to hear non-negative reactions, even if you react negatively. There's an art to it. My take is, if you - ever hit negative, or even enter it's vicinity, you slice off a part of the audience. This like this are perfectly acceptable, "this is not my style, but I see this X quality to this song." Some people say, this won't make my play list." Some people even say, "this isn't a style of voice I'm not a fan of." People can handle, "oh, right he doesn't like those kinds of voices." That's general. "Is this song even about anything," is ... negative, and as a bonus, pisses people off who might care about the song. People take songs personally. This song is about something. It's about shakin' your booty all night long on the dance floor. Also, it's OK to like things and at the same time not be super clever about it.

I appreciate your perspective, and I completely understand where you're coming from. People react differently to music, and that's what makes it such a personal experience. We've encountered situations where we've loved a song, only for someone to comment, "I think you're deaf because that wasn't music to my ears." It just goes to show that everyone has their own tastes, and that's part of what makes our world so diverse and beautiful 🥰. We're not here to disrespect any artists; we have immense respect for their talent and creativity. Whether it's singing, rapping, growling, or dancing, these artists bring something special to the table that not everyone can do. But the reality is, not everything resonates with everyone, and that's okay.

To me, Ratatata is an Onomatopoeia. This is a sound I associate with running around as a kid pretending to have a machine gun and making the sound of firing (Also in the chorus "My Body is a weapon"). As far as the song, what is it about. It is about playfulness, or really just about having fun. Most of Electric Callboy songs are about having fun or partying, well the ones I like to listen to. By the way, there was some growling by Baby metal. Moa(?) Metal did the deeper growl on the second "Are You Ready" at 5:45 (or there about) and on "everybody" at 6:30 and 6:37. It takes a while to sort of hear it.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. Most fun collaboration ever! It was a hit at every concert they did so far! Momozilla´s growls are a quite new thing for BABYMETAL, but yes, Momometal does growl. Not in an insane amount, but, hey, they are a "Metal Dance Unit", not a "traditional" metal band 😄 I repeat it, so that you won´t miss it: second "Are you ready??", I believe she is in the "Let´s go!!", too, and the two "Everybody!!" is actually Momometal growling.

Ratatata is just a fun party song. It's about staying out all night partying and dancing with friends, and maybe meeting someone you fancy along the way. Ratatata is apparently an onomatopoeia of a drum sound in EDM. Momometal does actually growl. During the breakdown, the second "Are you ready?!" is her, and the two "Everybody!" at the end is also her. Momo's growls are a new thing they are just starting to weave into their songs since she joined the group last year.

Nice reaction! The chorus of "Bu chi a ga re" (ブチアガレ meaning "Everyone get excited!") that MOA and MOMO are singing in the chorus is slang used by young Japanese. And "A ge" (アゲ) is also slang, meaning "lit". Your reaction is アゲ！
