Cliffe Fort is a defunct artillery fort, constructed in the 1860s to protect the Thames from potential seaborne attacks. Built during a period of heightened tensions with France, it is located on the south bank of the river at the entrance to Cliffe Creek, nestled in the Cliffe marshes on the Hoo Peninsula in North Kent, England.
