just one extra addition I would like to add. No idea if it will help anyone. Subsuming elemental ward from chroma onto hyldrin is another great option. One of the buffs reflects shield damage to nearby enemies, and pillage removes overshield when it is applying a new one. These combine to create a rather effective room nuke at these levels and because shield is used in place of energy it is highly spammable. I have never tried these missions with gyre, but that looks just as good or better than hildryn with elemental ward. Just wanted to mention there was another way for people that don't have gyre.

Amazing how Hildryn was four warframes away from Grendal's release and was still without any augment mods at the time. Wasn't even an option for doing the missions back then.

After years of putting it off cheesed all 3 on the first try with hildryn.. no weapons needed really.. augments carry on, mods dont.. heaven and pillage + augment and stuff dies on the spot

Lavos main here. I used Lavos and brought the Cedo. Lavos’s 4 is a room clearer that scales up dramatically with each status effect. The Cedo’s alternate fire puts a bunch of random status effects on the target. So after you put a few status effects you can use your 4 to clear a room. When your 4 is down you should use your 3 on a big group of enemies as it will reduce the cooldown on all your abilities. Also if you use ice on your 2 it will put 9 stacks of ice on the enemies which makes them slow down to a crawl. If it gets hairy you can also use your 1 to get your health back when needed. Putting viral on the 1 before you cast it makes it very strong.

Just in caze people want some dumb down. I did it with Revenant + Synoid Heliocor heavy slam. Revenant 1 is the one we using, an spreading CC for cheap. The Synoid Heliocor has an inate 20 combo points, it ain't a "unique trait" so it still works during the mission. Heavy slam requires no attack speed mods and is relative fast, and we using the x2 combo to do more damage. It's COMPLETLY brain dead loadout, but it gets the job done.

I just started working towards Grendel for the helminth and this video is gonna be a great help, I'm so glad to hear that survival is the worst one, as it was the first I did and I suffered a LOT, eventually managing to make it through with Hildryn, and spamming heavy attack slams on my melee

Strange, i always found the survival to be the easiest of the three missions. Some funny weird secret tech i haven't seen anyone mention: If you use a modded vulpaphyla for the mission and they die, they will respawn as they usually do but this time with all the equipped mods.

Suvival and Excavation - Wisp + Fulmin Defense - Frost + Fulmin Don't worry about secondary or melee, dont worry about elements. Missions are not difficult. Just annoying. Did mines solo first try.

Just something to recommend as well is you can use the syndicate weapons as the syndicate weapon proc still procs in Grendel Missions which can provide, cc as well as different effects such as energy etc

Just equip Octavia. There. That's all. These missions are so easy. Dare I say fun🤨. I was terrified to do these missions because of all the complaints online, but then when I actually saw what the missions were I instantly had several solutions. I actually wish DE would make a star chart like this, that has weak base level enemies, but you can't sup up your build by normal means. You have to think outside the box and find good combinations.

how i did this mission was just ivara prowl pickpocket, have a ragdoll slam, toss enemies into pits so they die, and pick pocket some more, repeat for new enemy spawns

I appreciate the video. I found it rather jarring, when you stopped short of speaking the headers (missions, primaries, etc). If I had one suggestion, it would be to go ahead and say them, as that would feel much more fluid. A subtle transition sound or tone might help, if you wanted an auditory signal when moving to a new section. Otherwise, seems great to me. :)

Styanax is a good pick, or at least for the defence because his third ability gives you enemy aggro, even above the defense objective itself. Give yourself any decent weapon and go to town. I cleared it so easy using styanax and nikana prime

I love your Gyre recommendations. Subsume over her 1 or 2 with Pillage (I prefer over her 2 because Arc Coil amps Rotorswell and helps extend Cathode Grace with her augment). Just hit her 3 then her 4 and enemies melt. Just use her 1 to lock down areas and extend/amplify her 3 and 4. Hit Pillage for Status cleanse and Armor/Shield Strip

I'd put Lavos as an actual recommendation, rather than an honourable mention. 1: He can infuse his abilities with elemental damage of his choosing, meaning you can put toxin damage on them to nuke Corpus. 2: He's got a high hp and armour pool, letting him tank easily. His first ability also has lifesteal on it. 3: If you use the augment for his first ability, that all but fixes his cooldown situation, allowing you to be super spammy with his abilities. Funnily enough, I didn't struggle much with Survival (though I don't quite recall what I used there). I had a much harder time with Excavation, as protecting the Excavators becomes pretty nasty at some point.

Just use Dante. 20k overguard, no ability cost, and does so much dmg with slash Bring a trinity with you and no need for anything else

I did this with Citrine and Trumna. Citrine has great abilities, including healing and energy on her first, damage reduction on her second, damage on her third and more damage on her fourth. The trumna wasnt fantastic but it did the job, and it can alt-fire just fine

With citrine her 1 is rng and enemy spawns aren't high enough to be reliable from my own experience testing with her since she has to constetly cast her 3 with low duration.

@@livingalife8879 I didn't give the cedo a shot, so I can't answer that. What I can say is that its primary fire required a couple shots to kill, and it has pretty slow fire rate and reload speed, so it is suboptimal, even if its alt fire still was a room cleaner.

Sad that Limbo is not mentioned at all, he's amazing as a "second player" in Survival so as one player focus's on taking out enemies the Limbo player focus's on making sure to revive. Limbo can also trivialize the Excavation mission, just avoid nullifiers when possible. Limbo is also an amazing partner with Octavia, and/or Mesa and/or Mirage and/or Saryn and/or Gyre. Sad Revenant wasn't mentioned, he was one of the few warframes that can solo the defense and survival missions. Just beware any enemies you thrall prevent other frames like Saryn from being able to do what they do.

I would just use cerata's heavy attack through all missions, the easiest by far, and just use a tanky warframe(i used rhino), and an honourable mention is the broken scepter if u plan to kill with other weapons, as it desecrate corpses for guranteed health and energy orbs.

Yea he is in the honorable mentions but his cooldowns slows him down alot and i felt it was to much of a burden to wanna deal with for most players. i didnt test it with cedo but he pretty much killed everything by himself.

Gyre is Interesting, i didn´t think of that. I just used Octavia and it worked fine. The missions were just bopring as fuck. No idea who thought that on top of allowing no mods they all take around 20 Minutes. They could at least make them take like 10.
