Ex-CIA agent Amaryllis Fox opens up about her ten years as a CIA agent. She explains what working for the intelligence agency was like and why she chose to write a book in which she shares detailed information. According to Fox ‘Old-fashioned’ offline espionage comes with great risk, but offers intelligence services opportunities cyber espionage doesn't. How far do security services go, both on- and offline, and at what cost? How far should they go?

I don't often write on these posts, as I just enjoy the nuggets of information. But had to stop this video when the presenter at 8:10 said that "wiping the adversary from the battle field is a fiction". Georgetown undergrad, intelligence agency personnel and it took you that long to realize what many people of the developing world have known for many many years. Actually quite instinctively. Think the Southeast Asian people during the unprecedented level of bombings during 60s and early 70s. Problem here is that a societal profile is created and attributed to that profile a belief you alone know or can provide the answers and solutions, because you're "intelligent". But you're not and your profile is finally being seen for what it is - misplaced. As in misplaced in importance. Beautiful indigenous peoples throughout the world and history are much smarter and quicker to see the obvious in this very unfair world that you have contributed in perpetuating lady. I am sorry for my rude tone. I love humanity and you. But I cry for the suffering that your "intelligent" profile has imposed on so many people throughout the world. May the Higher Being you may believe in and your "intelligence" continue to enlighten you. And me. As we all need to be better and correct many historical wrongs and for certain stop repeating such wrongs.

This response you have shared here is repulsive, at best. It’s also a classic definition and behavior called ‘projection’. You have taken your biases and bitter experiences and somehow attempted to weave it into this incredibly articulate and well spoken woman. Amaryllis has served her country and even here, continues to share her experiences, wisdom and compassion, to implore us and provide context on how we can all play a role in bettering this world. And yet all you’ve heard is how she thinks she is more ‘intelligent’ than you and is somehow just realizing things that you and the world have known for centuries Oh the irony. Amaryllis is speaking on how we need to listen to one another better to truly understand each others own world view. And even in that present ask… you not only are refusing to listen, but even going further to attack and demean her. I ask that you take a hard long look at your own words and stance and ridicule. While I’m sorry you’re so bitter and closed off to hearing and interpreting goodness and wisdom, I’m not sorry you’re exposing how small minded and hateful you are. Your bitterness and self hatred appears to be your very ACUTE weakness that is the reason you are unable to grow and get yourself to the other side. Think about it. Absorb it. And hopefully do the work to come back as a better human so all of us aren’t suffered by you and your hateful actions and sufferable tone.
