Another example that has become very popular due to recent scientific discovery is that of the benefits of fasting. The Quran tells us in Surah Baqarah that fasting is good for you, “if you only knew”.

​@@erique-eljovenThe fasting is from food, as is expounded on by the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a tenant of Islam. Some people do overeat, but the majority do not. Many people stay up until morning in prayer, so they may eat again due to the rigor of standing and bending numerous times in prayer. Also, we fast from sexual pleasure, and sins of using intoxicants, lying, backbiting, anger and so on. The end result is a better, healthier person. Best wishes to you; may God guide you.

If we ponder this verse, then the 'relationship' is already there. @@victoremman4639 There is need for in dept discussion here. Floating bodies move based on water surface currents and wind currents, and goes in the same direction of the current. A swimmer takes his own direction. The dictionaries we have translate sabah as swimming which tallies with the heavenly bodies. I agree we are not Arabs and our scholars of old learnt Arabic more than we do now. There was one who put all the nahwu as a poem (manzumah)and one student bags a PhD in Sudan by putting a sharh on his manzumah. These people had been interpreting sabah as swimming in our local language. Floating in air we use (هفهف) and on water we use the Arabic (طفا، طف، طفو غم غمو). I am not saying you are wrong, but i will discuss with some other people here. Our old scholars may be translating sabah loosely as swimming.

Quran 36 verse 40 might contain even more points. The moon does catch up with the sun on our sky in a lunar eclipse, but the sun will never catch up with the moon. The verse is consistent when saying that specifically the sun will never catch up with the moon. You never see the sun catching up or eclipse the moon (because it’s not possible in a heliocentric model). Also that the night and day are in ”falak”/orbits is literally true when you look at earth (from space). The night and day both appear simultaneously on earth which is in orbit.

If it's an active participle it would come out as "... and we built the heavens, expanding it". That just means that expansion was at the time of creation, like how when you build a clay pot you have to expand the clay to give it its shape and size.

The word مُوسِعُونَ is a plural, and it is applied to the pronoun Us, Allah's powers, not the sky. The vowel i bellow the س indicates that it happens on the ones described by the qualifying word مُوسِعُ, Us, not the sky. Read tafsirs, and verify all you heard on youtube if you don't know arabic.

"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down. Not agree totally saying "the qur'an is not a scientific book", the Qur'an shape our mind with words, with a language, hence language is a representation of the A'lamin, no sciences without the Signs, the A'lamin. Example, Falak doens't mean "circule" but Curved, one accurate aspect of the circle. Another one, surah 23.14, the detractor said the Qur'an made a mistake, it's not understand the word عظم which doesn't mean "bones" but the shape and its extremities like when we say Allah Al A'dzim it's not about bones, but extremity often translated by “The Greatest”, “The Magnificent”, or “The Grand”. Get the point ? We have really to understand first the words with accuracy before to say "science is, or isn't, in the Qur'an". A scientific miracle not detected by most of the interpretators, surah 27.88, the mountains are flotting and passing like clouds, because the lava is like a fluid. See the proximity between سبح (flotting and not swiming) and سحب (cloud). And I did a deep linguistic investigation on surah 36.40, (article, in french). In resum, there is 29 archetypes in the Qur'an and dwelling the A"lamin, 29 letters, 29 scientific tools to analyse the Universe. 29 like the Noor of the moon, sometime 28... Example, surah 7.54 غشى the غ is the archetype of the unseen, opposed to the ع the visible, thus the concept behind "cover" means "hidden" not avaible for the eye in arabic. Another example, the word حَثِيثً the ث is the archetype of the relation, what is related to, and the ح archetyp of the enveloppe, a membrane, like in حيّ a kind of Limit. Surah 56.75 the word قسم the Q is the archetype of the Positioning, thus it hepls to identify each positioning of the Matter, in parts. Surah 51.47 وسع doens't mean expending, but enlarging, and it comes in the plural form, and it is not refered to the sky, but Us, means Allah powers first plural pronoun.There is no various interpretations, but various interpretators, according to their knowledge of arabic. And the earth is the center of the universe, not the sun, not the galaxy, just because the Observer is our eye. All it's about perspective. : )
