@@ConwayTimmons-yu9ce I think foolish is too inefficient in zombies when not playing extra targets such as malicious. The only target that does not result in a -1 in card advantage is sending mezuki, but doing that then turns off your ability to do the brio + pitch mezuki combo later on in the duel, and if your play is just to revive a zombie, you already have book of life for that. Foolish on plague or goblin is too costly and foolish is also a bad topdeck later on in the game.

3 Dust Tornado - Makes sense to me!

A lot of things do make sense to me! You'd be surprised how often people clown on 3 dusts. Backrow removal is a necessity, you can't just auto-lose to a black whirlwind open and expect to win a tournament

Diva Zombies have probably the strongest g1 plan in the format right now other than Dragon Turbo. You can literally just die turn 2 because you 50/50ed a set turtle/zombie. They also unfortunately die to g2/3 cards like Oppression, DDV, etc harder than almost any other deck in the format. I've been personally leaning towards nothing but ways to negate their board game 2/3 like PWWB, Tornados, trap stuns, etc. A couple silver bullet cards for specific match ups and a whole lot of ways to answer their boards seems to be the way to go. You just have to be able to do your thing to win, if you can go off you're favored vs every deck in the format except for frogs playing multiple hand traps.

@@10footD 3 Dust helped me win a match against Gravekeeper's Stall. I was able to find the solemn and go for heavy. Had I not been able to stop Necrovalley, Idk if I could have played through Royal Tribute next turn.

Indeed! D prison can be used against a multitude of different monsters that attack and is one of the most versatile traps in the format! Dust tornado can be used against a multitude of face down backrow and is also one of the most versatile cards in the format! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Compulse should ALWAYS be a minimum 1 of in the maindeck if you run any trap lineup merely on the premise that it is chainable removal that doesn't send things to the GY. That by itself makes it, IMO, infinitely better than any Battle Trap and in some scenarios, match or even pass Bottomless itself.

Pretty good prize ya. It was a 3v3 tournament (your team has to win 2/3 matches to win) and all of the prizing went to the top 2 teams so the prizes were split among 6 people. Fitz received 1 of the 3 black rose dragons. I'll be uploading the other member's profile later today

From fitz: "I’ve only briefly tried UO but it’s pretty simple the diff between the two Both try to solve the problem of giving the deck plays when you don’t start your turn with a monster in play. Instant is faster and more consistent at doing that the one time you use it, while UO is slower and requires you to have both the setup card (goblin, turtle, etc) and the payoff (tuner/caius) already in hand UO has more upside when it does resolve cuz it can let you do cool stuff like chain block bth/tt or otk, but is a bit slow/clunky as it requires to be set a turn and needs to be comboed with 2 additional cards vs instant which is just an additional setup card with nice speed/flexibility" beastmode who's another notable zombie player swears by UO over instant fusion saying its a million times better. Hope their perspectives help!

That diva over etele explanation made as much sense as playing diva over etele. It doesn’t.

The gist of what he was saying was that Diva is a more explosive card than etele. For instance if you have a goblin zombie on the field, summoning diva leads to a much more threatening board with multiple synchro monsters than activating etele. With etele, you're also more likely to see the psychic pieces than etele itself and Fitz would rather have different cards in those spots

Yeah I didn’t do a great explanation haha. Basically 2 tuners > 1 for your combo plays and it’s more likely you draw the tuners than teleport itself. Would rather just play the diva for access to the big combo plays and not use card slots on krebons + psychic commander.

This tournament is based on the April 2010 banlist and cardpool so most modern cards are illegal to use. Edisonformat.net and edisonformat.com are good starting resources to get an idea of what the landscape looks like. I'd recommend trying the format, its a lot of fun

@@saberhof The standard Emergency Teleport package means you're playing Emergency teleport + 2-3 tuners which is 3-4 cards weak to oppression. Fitz is on 2 Diva instead which is 1-2 less cards that are weak to oppression. Diva is weak to oppression but the deck is less weak to oppression overall because of the reduction in cards hit by it
