As soon as there is an intimate scene from Wan and Kim, people are quick to jump on the bandwagon lmao All of the episodes until now have been filled with comments complaining about this series, but now I can't even see one negative comment. As I have told so many people, there is a build up happening with this series and they have to be patient, but they still complained so much. I am very happy that we get to see the chemistry of WanKim now though and I'm hoping this allows for the character development from Wan as we can see from her younger days. I really love this show.

The problem I see so far is that we wasted 5 chapters on a "build up" but really nothing happened. This is the first chapter I see actual story being told. Which is what kept me coming back. THIS, I don't really care about toxic Wan's current story arc. But they've been hinting about this juicy story from the beginning. Now I'm even more confused on why they are not together in present. I'll keep watching but I can't believe I have to be grateful that something is "finally" happening when it's not even moving the story forward. I would have loved this context back in chapter 3.

Thing is, as someone who love slow burn, this series only have 12 episodes, and the build up was literally in the middle. I get that they’re hiding their feelings in the first 5 episodes - but their acting and the direction have literally been bland until this episode. You can’t blame the audience for tuning out given that there are a lot to watch these days than waiting for a build up to happen.

@@gechkim3339 tbh the show has made me not want to read the novel. You shouldn't have to read a novel to understand the show anyway. This is the first time in six episodes we have seen them being actual friends with a good relationship. Before this, all we've seen is Wan being a selfish bitch who treats Kim terribly. The show didn't establish why they were friends, and it means that I don't like Wan at all, and I don't really have any sympathy for Kim either because she just let Wan treat her like that. Why would I want them to be in a relationship? Now that I've seen what they were like when they were in school, I like them both, and I can see why they want to be together. But it's taken half of the entire series just for me to not hate the main characters. It would have been a lot more enjoyable if I had seen this part first.

@@littlefurnaceI agree. We don’t have to read the book anyway. This is an entirely different medium where the film makers doesn’t expect viewers to be ALL readers. Btw I’m a reader myself, but I critic shows way differently than I critic books. The show lacked a foundation for us to root for the MCs from the start. And I think that their entire School Years with all the family drama can be fitted into 1-2 episodes. Or maybe they should’ve just given us MORE glimpsed of their past to build that foundation. Also, the way they’re ALWAYS seemingly angry, frustrated, and uncaring of each other for the 1st 5 episodes has no reasons or contexts to established and hold on to why we’re supposed to root for them. This episode alone showed us they could’ve done it. Gave us “reasons” and “contexts” as to why they decided to act the way they do.

Hago una pausa porque tengo que decir que... La escena del "jabon" ha estado demasiadooooo tensa sin mostrar nada realmente explicito... Solo aquellos que han experimentado una sensacion de querer "arrancarle la ropa a alguien" saben que estas chicas han actuado demasiado bien este tipo de situaciones.
