Dude... don't weeb out. Tokyo is just like any other big city. The only difference is they take more pride in keeping things looking clean and well-maintained, which is admirable. There is still crime and dangerous areas, loud noises, etc. Also, NEVER let strangers (usually Nigerians) talk to you in busy parts of Tokyo. They are hired by Yakuza and brought to Tokyo to trick tourists into spending thousands of dollars on credit cards at fake karaoke bars (Yakuza is aware of White Guilt syndrome, so they use Nigerians guys to exploit this). They roofie your drinks and everything. Japanese police won't help because the card processing banks involved are (usually) American and English-only, and Yakuza influence runs deep. There are also Japanese guys that do the same thing, and even pretty girls targeting young naive white men. If you visit Tokyo don't let ANYONE take you somewhere you arent familiar with. Stick to your itinerary.

As a rider myself (of Japanese motorbikes, even), the way this guy rides tight, busy streets and takes blind corners at speed is nightmarish and anxiety-inducing. He basically does everything we're taught NOT to do in North American motorcycle safety courses. He trusts other vehicles on the road way too much, and trusts in unseen potential road conditions/obstacles way too much. Maybe it's more safe to do that in Tokyo, but you'd never catch me doing that anywhere. I'd be way too nervous about hitting a pedestrian around a blind corner, or getting in front of an inattentive cage/truck driver.
@aaravs5242 жыл бұрын
its a really nice video, but details like this had me slightly anxious the entire time...
@zaldabus2 жыл бұрын
This isn’t an America vs Japan difference, this guy is a reckless driver. I honestly have no idea how he managed to get and keep a license in Japan much less how he hasn’t smashed head on into a person/vehicle illegally weaving through traffic like he is in this video.
@crizzerr2 жыл бұрын
@@zaldabus lane splitting is legal in japan.
@guyontwos2 жыл бұрын
Yeah because unlike in America, cars are attentive to riders on the road and it is much harder to obtain a drivers and/or moto license there as well and fines are much higher hence why most follow the law. Oh and the roads are maintained much better and are celaner than the US, lots of factors.
@tokyovirtualride2 жыл бұрын
Come on. This is just a 125cc riding video with top speed of 72km/h. It's so funny when your saying "ah, blind corners at speed, it's nightmarish, anxiety-inducing.. blah blah blah" I know what I'm doing. Don't be such an asshole.
