How I loved watching your process in this one, also a lengthier video to my delight (they are never too long, truly!). I,too, am a colorist, having enjoyed creating interiors for my design clients for 40 years, so I am thoroughly enjoying the variety of palettes you feature on Utube! Don’t forget to put a dollop of spf in the upper center of your chest, even under your shirt. Over time it really makes a difference in aging in that area

I am curious about how you wear makeup in the summer with being sweaty… Is gel everything the way to go? Is gel foundation a thing ?

I did, what I thought, was going to be a summer proof face. I used a gel stain bronzer and blush, set with the Milk Makeup mattifying spray. I had a bad day, and had a crying sesh … I had literal holes and visible drops in my makeup! I’ve never had such an evident “meltdown” in my makeup. Normally sure there might be some, but this was a worse aftermath compared to my normal makeup. I was pretty disappointed, tbh, bc I bought those products specifically for an upcoming summer vacation.

I always get those patchy bits where more shadow is deposited and won’t blend out that you called a crease (with my shadow.) I never knew why I had that happen or how easy it was to fix. I do apply too much pressure I think, causing the skin to crease, causing that to happen to me. So thanks for that! Also could you show how to use shadows that are similar in tone without having them muddy together? You want a gradient appearance, but then it’s easy to over blend to cause it all to muddy together so any tricks to avoid that?

Hi Katie. Love this Chanel! I found you through Alana Davison (alanarama) I am having horrible problems with makeup since allowing my mostly white hair to grow in. My original makeup no longer suits me at all. I have a light neutral skin tone ( burn easily without spf50, but do tan eventually) dark blue/green eyes, dry cheeks and eye area and oily tzone. I’m getting a little crepey looking at my mouth to jaw lines and my usual Armani luminous silk doesn’t sit nice there at all any more, no matter how hydrating my prep work is. My hair was always your tone, a copper tone and I suited corals and pinks on cheeks and lips, but now it all looks awful and really aging. My hair really is a beautiful shiny white/silver and I’m trying to grow it long again to keep it more modern… but my makeup??? Any advice or a video on aging hair colour and skin tone would be sooooo appreciated. Xxx
