@@Asterisk-hj4lxi understand that you’re probably young and have no reference other than stats to frame your narrative. That Bulls team that made the playoffs BTW, had zero other players on that roster that was even close to an All-Star before or after. Outside of MJ they had no other scoring options. He also averaged over 5 boards close to 5 assists, 3 steals and almost 2 blocks. He did everything for that team! Don’t stop arguing ball hog, he was the best defender, best passer, best shot blocker ~ as a 6-6 shooting guard. He was also efficient shooting around 50% from the field. If you’re going to use statistics to frame a narrative, include all the statistics. Include the other players he played with. I remember the players on that team, who was he supposed to defer to offensively ~ MJ points were never him stuffing stats. He was so good and efficient and consistent. I can tell those who never saw Jordan play in his pre dynasty days. Because it’s no way possible for anyone who watched him play say he was a ball hog. He wasn’t even as aggressive offensively as the stats would suggest ~ that was just how efficient he was ~ he was the ultimate at letting the game come to him. In his early years Pre- Pippen and the first few seasons until Pippen hit his stride, pre triangle the offense ran through Jordan, because he was the teams best chance to score and win. He was also a demon defender ~ many games he generated 8-12 points alone in his steals, - deflections also adding to his scoring. Stop repeating a narrative you can’t possibly add context to. And if you did watch him play then you certainly don’t understand ball, and never played probably, and if you did you never played with a great player. Your words are basketball blasphemy 😂

@kingwill1623 This was the narrative since prior to him entering the NBA. He made players better. Similar to Magic Johnson. It doesn't matter his age. However, if that's your argument, fine. Let's go with it. Lebron is older, yes. Is he the best player on his team? 2nd? 3rd? 4th? Kareem knew to take a step back when he was 37-41 years old. He focused on defense, rebounding and scoring when necessary, played less minutes, and let the younger legs run. Lebron spends his time complaining, resting on defense (self-admittedly so), and shooting lots of 3's (which this year he is hitting at a higher consistent clip). He should act as LA's 3 and D wing, yet he wants the accolades rather than let others do their job. Dlo needs the ball. AD needs those PNR's with Dlo, and Austin needs to cook in the 4th with Rui playing the bully ball Bron used to do. Why does Lebron have the highest usage rate on the team if he makes everyone better? If he's so old, he needs to cut down on his usage. Kareem, in his final 3 seasons, averaged 4th amongst starters in usage. Lebron has averaged 1st in all his years in LA. Can't make others better if you're taking all the shots and making all the passes, yet it leads to more losses than wins.

So when the Spurs finished top 8 in offensive rating, they won championships, regardless of what their defense was doing. 2008, they slid to 15th and lost in 5 in WCF. In 2013, they should've won, they were ranked 7th in offense and same in 2014. Their defense was great for 15 years but only the years they had a high ranked offense, did they make the Finals and win. In 2016, Duncan's last year they were ranked 4th offensively but lost to OKC who was 2nd and was up 3-1 on 73-9 Golden State and should've won. This era of baksetball is completely different than the one Jordan played in. Jordan’s era ever team had one star player maybe 2 if they were a really good team like the bulls. The current era of basketball every single top team has 2-3 all star caliber players bare minimum. Nuggets have jokic, Murray, porter jr Clippers have kawhi, pg, harden, Russ Celtics have Tatum, brown, holiday, and pork Suns have kd, booker, Beal Bucks have Giannis, dame, middleton Every other team is not going to be able to compete with these teams come playoff time cuz they simply have too much talent. For example the 6ers have the guy who will most likely be mvp and a very good team… but they stand no chance to the fire power of those other team

You know one thing people don't seem to talk about is the difference in Salary Caps between teams today and back then. It seems today players can almost always ask for help without giving up much. Where as back then you'd have to give up pretty much your whole bench just for another superstar player, and that's only if the teams you're trading with will allow you to keep the stars you want through the trades.

Honestly the most annoying thing about Lebron's career is all the excuses and media bs. When I watched the NBA, back in the late 80s to about 4 years ago, it was all about the captain(s) leading their team. Being from so Cal we expect chips. MJ, Shaq, Kobe were all killed in the media until they figured it out. MJ a ball hog, Shaq too busy with extra curriculars, Kobe driving out Shaq, rape case, and ball hog. How LeBron on these hand- picked teams never at fault for coming up short? We all see that he a Stat padder, but nobody in the media knows enough about basketball to point out the actual flaws in his game. Fan and media basketball literacy is like at an all time low because you got these Stat guys and new fans that don't even know what a down screen or a hedge is, but they'll tell you some percentage...
