top a YCS with a smoke screen deck as much as you could possibly smoke screen a deck. Maybe hand traps and a fiendsmith engine would be about 25 cards you could potentially make it go second with board breakers so have some short of side deck in main deck (?) or maybe some kashtira engine and then completely change the deck game 2

Such a nice feeling topping with a deck that you love, atleast that's what I'm thinking, even if you didn't win the event entirely, going undefeated in swiss must've felt like winning the tournament by itself. I have no doubt you will/can win a YCS with this deck, or almost any deck you put your heart into :D

60 card decks going hard. Maybe that one KZbinr MarkThePage who related yugioh to game theory wasn’t too far off. Having more variety is a better change of not bricking opening hand. Especially since everything is searchable. Doesn’t matter what’s in your hand if the card you want is 5 searches deep in the deck to get there. Just as long as you don’t have 3 same cards that are all a HOPT.

We really enjoy your deck series so please stick with that instead of no sidedeck bc that’s just overkill Jesse. As the next deck in your progression series to pick I would really love to see you play Dinos, a typical 2 Card combo deck which as a fan favorite rogue strategy it is still rather unexplored with Kaitoptera and Horned Saurus being able to grab ANY field spell. You could test by playing a secondary engine like Sangen Summoning (additional normal summon from horned saurus to bridge from Dinos to dragons) or fire king island to pop Babys in hand for example to bridge 2 archetypes potentially . A It’s also possible to play Diabellestar Engine for the Evoltile package as well. A lot of potential to say the least as well as many directions to deckbuild and with Ryu-Ge and Jurrac support this deck could really get a second life in the near future. I already gave you some theory input but I would reallly love to see you deep diving into Dinos to see your deck profile and in-depth explanation. Greetings from Germany.

Yo Jesse come and join the Paleo agenda. The deck is really fun and you get to play with a bunch of cards that are usually completely unplayable and yet somehow make an actually decent functioning deck.
