Thank you so much for doing this video. I'm one of those who just plain can't afford all the expensive gear (I'm on disability assistance) but I'm an avid prepper. I'd been looking for a way to make one of these but with my hands as gibbled as they are I'm beyond grateful to have found this first.

That collapsed aluminum pan is a fantastic idea! You're the first person I've seen to come up with that. Your whole bugout roll is very well stocked and organized. I'd recommend adding various essential oils to your first aid kit. Geranium stops bleeding. That would be my first choice. Lavender helps with all things skin; you can't do without lavender. And all essential oils are antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral. There are lots that would be very helpful in a variety of ways in any situation.

Since you posted this video I have had absolutely NO LUCK finding one least of all at that price. The only place I found one was ebay at double the price. They sure made a profit. But, I guess $30 is better than nothing. The closest Gander Mountain to me was almost 2 hours away and they closed months ago from what I was told. This was a SUPER idea! Thank you so much!
@PrepperPotpourri7 жыл бұрын
I think the original price was closer to $30. I think you will find it well worth it. I don't understand why they aren't making this roll any more.

Yes you're absolutely right I had bought one of those little portable stoves, with the little white tablets. and I packed it in my bug out bag for like 2 months. I had to throw away the bug out bag stunk so much couldn't believe it. Not even washing it. Just ran into your channel the other day super entertaining. And very creative learning a lot thank you.

Thank you SO much; you got a sub from me! I liked the bug out roll Canadian Prepper is selling but $150 is WAAAAY too much for just a roll bag. I've been scouring Amazon for hours with terms such as 'tool roll' and 'bug out roll' to find anything that offers transparent pouches, durable, can be squeezed down, and isn't super expensive and I couldn't find anything. This video simply feeding me the term 'tackle roll' instantly expanded my horizons to find what I was looking for if I don't end up getting what you demo in the video. You're priceless... thank you!

The tackle roll really works. Thank you
@nytebytez99016 жыл бұрын
Great vid. You are spot on!!! I like the Bug-Out roll also, but it's very bulky if you ever have to pack it with other gear. It's more of a yuppie pack for people who like to stare at their gear and admire how they just spent $1000 on survival gadgets. The majority of people out there have zero idea what it's like to hump for a full day with all that gear on their back, plus food, water, shelter, etc. Fatigue sets in pretty quick. Most of that expensive gear would get left on the side of a trail after a real day's hike.
@PrepperPotpourri6 жыл бұрын
Yep. I like wearing my photographers vest option. It has loads of pockets that I can stash gear and the weight is more evenly distributed.

Subscribed! I am a "preparedness" person myself, and love the innovation based on practicality. If something is perceived as out of reach, most will never try, so practical is always best. The kits you created are great, and the practical items you selected were really smart. My favorite items included duct tape, multi kit, and the folded aluminum container, really versatile, practical, and inexpensive. I have decent car kits now, but will be enhancing them according to this video. BTW, loved the running water and distant gunshots.

Prepper Potpourri Still on it. Day three in Lunenberg NS. Fabulous. Recommend it highly. Sea kayaking yesterday in the rain. Only day for rain so we scored a private paddle as everyone cancelled but us. Saw deer on rock islands eating wild peas. I landed and ate some. Not bad. Sailed the first day and saw sea eagles. Doing kayaking again tomorrow in the sunshine! Cycled 22km today to get a vegan lunch at Mahone Bay. Getting too much sun. Dogs enjoying it in their lazy way. If anyone's been to Lunenberg we are in a house next to the music academy on the hill. Tall ships arrive tomorrow and going to the folk festival as well. Feeling very mellow. Sending Leslie out shopping now while I doze with the terriers. Back home August 17th unless the world ends before then. Totally avoiding news and KZbin is on a diet. Needed to unplug.

@PrepperPotpourri7 жыл бұрын
Yes. I tried using it to kill toenail fungus but it didn't work.
@robertmarsing80866 жыл бұрын
I tried it also and it worked better than many, many over the counter products sold particularly for toenail fungus. I did research and learned that you have to use it for an extended period (30 to 90 days) and yes I did use the OTC remedies as directed on their labels. It also works well as a topical rub for aches and pains which I am sure will arise in a bug out situation. I still apply it about once a week to make sure the fungus STAYS AWAY. No more ugly, smelly feet. It is in my bug out Med. kit. I do have specific items in my kit for these specific uses. Campho-Phenique for knee, foot and burn pain and insect bites and skin irritation also as well as Tea Tree oil for fungus. YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET in a bug out situation. However Vicks does work on these also (not really as well) but it also works well for cold and congestion relief and there is just something kind of comforting about Vicks. Yes it definitely is in my Med. kit.
