The wussy little earth clamps have become almost a given on the last two Chinesium machines I've bought post Covid. From a manufacturing point I get it (last I looked a few months ago, copper was at $9k a ton US!!), but totally agree. The first thing I did was swap out that pencil-thin earth lead from the one on my Mig gun that's the better part of twice as beefy. Went from a sputtery cut to butter with that one part.

I have the exactly same machine I put the earth lead of an old arc welder on it cuts very well I always use the wheel I'm shocking with touching the tip and destroying consumables lol great video not many people would think to change the earth clamps.

Thanks again Pete, I'm in the same thoughts as you with the earths and stinger/touch, I like the stronger clamp and twist touch for Ark welder, all the best to you and your loved ones
