I cried, what a powerful statement. When you do it (whatever you desire/dream), that"s when people believe, not so much before.

What a great role model for girls and women everyone. To everyone watching, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something if be something. Live your dream. The best form of revenge is success!!!

Misty copeland has put the doubters and negatives too shame, as she continues on with God's talent that he has given her. I again admire her and I embrace her quotes and staying true to my talents like she has presented, shown and perform every day of my life.
@linsane86283 жыл бұрын
You saying that God gave her the talent she has. Dismisses literally all the hard work SHE put in herself to be where she is at... The irony that you think your statement isn't the same as others who put women down. smh Women are capable of much more than what society tries to make us believe, you continue to do so with the belief that they are only able to do so with "God". News Alert. He's not real.

It's very normal unfortunately in the ballet world to hear these comments... very degrading, also as if ballet were the only serious dance form.. I come from ballet and I have been told to start doing musicals, like in an insulting way.. but yeah not everyone is like this, a change is necessary though!
@katehu71943 жыл бұрын
No one actually. A recent NY Times article stated this is just a generic rejection letter to ballerinas. It was never specific to Misty. "You'll never be good enough" is a common put down for cutthroat markets.
@noellesnow1863 жыл бұрын
"Your body is suitable to be a Las Vegas dancer" Just adding insult to injury in an already painful rejection letter. Uncalled for and so insulting for any young, hopeful ballerina.

@Mr.MikeBarksdale9 ай бұрын

@@Mr.MikeBarksdalehow do you know that? Racism has been so prevalent in ballet that shoes in non-pink skin tones are a recent development. Please do some research.
