Man I can't wait for this game to come out. Been in love with Under Night since Latest. Can't wait to see what new characters will added to the roster or what will happen in the story. Tbh man I would be down to see more guest characters especially anyone thats obscure and definitely deserves the love attention like Akatsuki Blitzkampf. So maybe Rouga Zanma from Big Bang Age + BB Beat or Hikaru from Chaos Code? That would be so fitting.

My fears came exactly true. The complete lack of key-art aside from the new character visuals left nearly nothing for them to be creative with compared to [st] and CLR's openings. The song is nice but since we heard the first 30 seconds of it back during Tokyo Game Show's trailer and the chorus just repeats itself from the intro there's no "new" parts to the song to surprise you. It's not bad but End of Dawn and Unknown Actor still reign supreme. Granted, I think the chanting in the back in 0:40 is really cool, hopefully the full version has more variety. Guitar is also going wild by the end too.

I can't help but notice that, while the artistic improvement to the character portraits is nothing short of staggering, this more detailed style meshes less harmoniously with the HD sprites. The simplistic shading of the previous games' character art made the transition from still art to animated sprites seem practically seamless during their openings. I must also say that I prefer the more dynamic pacing of UNIST/UNICLR's openings over this one, though this opening is clearly aiming for a more dramatic and somber feel, which is appropriate for the final chapter.

we dont know if there is more though. Some of the OPs in FB games are actually super short like End of Dawn and Stack black. Stack black only has like 30 seconds more of song besides of whats shown in the OP and End of Dawn there is only the stuff you see in the OP of arcade ST. Maybe when game comes out they show if there is more of the song or not

You can find unknown actors being 3 minutes and stack black is only 2 minutes. They just dont have a fixed pattern they do what they feel like doing. [my opinion] The OPENING itself looks simple! Not because -they reused the sprites -they used the stages -they used the character Artwork But because it really doesn’t feel like they invested a lot of passion into the intro. Now.. if it was a small team or even 1 person.. perfect. This is PERFECT. Shows the theme/characters/and atmosphere immediately and straight to the point…. But even still deep down I know that this could of been better. A intro that tells a story. A intro that’s dynamic and emotional. A intro that stays with you, and if not well known is a timeless classic, BUT if popular resonates with people all over for it stood out among the rest. The music is great. The intro overall is a solid B++. I feel like there’s people out there capable of creating their own custom Intro and it will represent the truth of the game/characters/struggle of right and wrong/emotions/thoughts/experience. (I’m tempted to make my own in the “if you think you can do better than do it yourself”-kind of way. Not to be cocky, but I have high standards and want the best for this series.) I genuinely like this game, and know that a lot of effort was poured into it in general. Often times overworked. Often times following guidelines by higher uppers who want to make it balanced with general/saturated with love/truth/passion to appease a fluctuating audience. It’s impossible to appease everyone. Again.. I believe this intro is PERFECT as it is. Simple. Yet I just feel like there was one that solidified in the memories of everyone. “Wow! That intro was amazing!” “Wow! Did you see all that!” “(Yeah! Did you catch those connections!)” “Wow! What do you think is being build up for this game! It looks exciting!” “Wow! The music for the intro was beautiful. Each note and word sounded like duality telling a story with truth/love/positivity highlighted in the end!” I envision so much for this game. I wish for it to be good. I wish for people to really get into it. I wish for it to be properly balanced/updated/fast-paced. I wish for the fun this game can offer to reach people all over. The OST is amazing. I just want this game to be a SSS+ Tier game and series.

To be fair, French Bread is essentially a indie dev that get their games published by ASW. Granted, the fact that they've been around the block far longer than most other smaller devs does create somewhat higher expectations given their experience and connections with bigger companies like ASW and Type-Moon.
