Nice boat inside. That's a lot of glass, lack of privacy when moored would be deal breaker for me personally.

A lot of moorings are in the middle of nowhere!

@@jillosler9353 Nice try to change my view on bus style windows but I still prefer mostly portholes, I know the bigger windows let in more light but they also let more baking sun in through the summer, paid for heat out in the winter and I'm prepared to lose the free winter sun's heat. I mentioned privacy earlier, quite often you need to be near civilisation for shops, facilities, eating out etc but also I'm interested in a boat not a floating bus conversion. Of course as said this is my opinion only and many others will love the big bus style windows.

I can close the curtains on the side nearest the tow path and still have outside light in. English winters are gloomy enough without light from outside.

@@elund408 I have no problem putting a very warm glow low level of light on if it gets too dim during our low light level winters. Have you heard about the Danish concept of hygge, it's difficult to describe in English but basically it's warm soft light sitting around the fire, cosiness. Pub's and restaurants have a hygge rating there, Denmark uses more candles trying to achieve hygge than the rest of Europe put together, I'm sure I must have been Danish in another life because I have never been a fan of bright light, natural or not. Portholes also can come in ridiculously small or big enough to let enough light in without giving away too much privacy. I've seen inside boats with port holes(on KZbin) on winter days and it looks like and the owners tell you there's more than enough light. We all like different things which of course is a good thing 😁.

Why do the Fires wether multifuel or diesel, never favour the lounge area always seem to point in the wrong direction, why don't canal boats have a wrap round seating to cosy up to, with a dinette area, then kitchen/bathroom/bedroom it seems the only correct layout is on a wide beam, feeling really disappointed with same old same old layouts,. Is there nothing different out there,..Cash available.

tape out a narrow boat lounge on your floor, then arrange your furniture as you think you want it. allow for walkways. You might find some answers.
