Thank you for this idea! I just did it myself and got a couple notes: Autozone also carries this drain pan so that can be an option if you can’t find it at Home Depot. Also, a dremel will cut through this like butter at 15k RPM, just make sure you move quickly because it will melt the plastic. You can also use the dremel to sand down sharp edges quickly.

It’s just one of those things that seemed to work out, I saw it at the store and thought it looked like the perfect fit, so I bought it without even knowing if it would work. Then when I got it home it WAS an absolute perfect fit 😁. Glad it’s working out for you too!!

You're a genius! I was wondering how I was going to utilize that space under the seat until I came across your vid. I found that same oil pan at Home Depot. Lowe's no longer carries it. Once I get some warm weather I'm going to modify it to fit under my Sportsman 106 PDL. Thanks!

My 120 pdl is currently shipping to me and i just blew out my knee yesterday. I need to be fishing. If I put 2in front and rear seat risers would a 100ah battery fit. I cant find any dimensions on the under seat storage size.

I’m not sure to be honest, but I bet you could make it work. Would all depend on the dimensions of the battery too. I’m sure you could come up with a way to make it work though. I only use a 10ah for my fish finder currently.

Don’t use duct tape. Use 100% silicone caulk. Caulk the whole overlapping cut edge then use spring clamps/weight/fill with sand/ temporary tape to hold it together while the silicone sets/dries. Silicone squeeze out can be cleaned off with paint thinner while it is still wet/not set. Silicone is also water resistant but marine silicone is waterproof but costs a bit more. Amazon/boat supply houses have it.

Most definitely! The tape has held up for over a year no issues, but you're right that would be a good solution.

I would say that it’s probably personal preference, but I don’t think you would have to if you didn’t want, but it would probably be nice to have it go back under the seat a little, so I just don’t think you’d have to cut as much of it.

I would think that it would probably work even better on the Big Water because it doesn't have the rod stagers under the seat, correct? The only thing I wouldn't be sure of is if the Big Water and the Sportsman are the same width.

Not that I am aware of. If I'm not mistaken the Autopilot has even less room under the seat than the PDL, doesn't it?
