Where is sluice gate?
Sluice Gate Structure - Sluice gates are special structures designed to adjust the working flow, as well as for complete or partial cutting-off of fluid flow. They are applied at pumping stations of treatment and sewerage plants, as well as in the field of water supply and other process flows.
Their main functions are: (i) It helps in controlling the silt entry into the canal. (ii) It scours the silt deposited on the river bed above the approach channel. (iii) It passes the low floods without dropping the shutter of the main weir.
