The Explorer Gill has been killer for me, the paddle tail is a must. Super easy to just chuck and wind, but can still glide it and make it 180 if needed. Can't beat the price either.

Not related to this video, but I finally got around to trying that goofy-ass Deps Cover Scat. Right away I was blown away by how effective it was! But man, they aren't durable at all, which I figured might be the case with so much salt. I wish they would go away from that little cavity at the head where the hook comes out. That makes it tear way to easily with the lack of plastic there. Then again, torn up Scats mean more money for Deps, so I get why they wouldn't wanna make it more durable. Have you tried using a screw-lock hook? I wonder if that would make the bait last a few more fish. Thanks!

I stick a split ring and a solid swivel on the bent minnow. No more line twist. Same for a whopper plopper.

What size EWG hook would you use with the scooper frog. Or are you just nose hooking it with a weed less wacky hook. Top water action is awesome for this bait.better than your standard hollow body frogs.

What small profile finesse-y spinnerbait would you recommend that is similar to the areas except with a regular single hook design. Tried to areas and it gets hung up significantly more than a regular spinnerbait. Similar to an inline spinner

That Z1 gets bit and kills it on rocky bottom I just grind that thing or worm it and it does work pretty well near wood even tho bill isn't as big as other wood cranks was pretty surprised but have snagged a few but usually was on other peoples line not wood..
