Sad maybe, but totally unsurprising. Otakus are Otakus because they are ultra-fans. A hardcore fan group is definitely going to be better at this kind of thing as long as they are positive people and willing to do it. @jmccu100 Always bugs me when people point out stuff like that about Japan. Because Lady Gaga is so much morally acceptable right? The fact that the Japanese don't market their over sexualised teen pop to children seem's less reprehensible to me than the western approach. Yeah it's a little bit icky but far less so than Britney Spears dancing around in lingerie and high heels in front of 12 year olds.
